Dr. Bin Liu will be an Assistant Professor (starting August 2018) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Mississippi State University.  She is looking for talented Ph.D. or master students who are interested in biomedical research. Her research interests focus on understanding the molecular mechanism underlying Calcium-dependent cardiac dysfunctions and developing novel mechanism-based therapeutics. Primary experimental approaches include intracellular Calcium imaging using fluorescent confocal microscopy and in vivo cardiac functional studies, such as electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings in genetic mouse models of cardiac diseases.
