The School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham (QS 2018 world ranking top 84), UK has an open fully funded PhD position in the area of Information Retrieval to start in October 2019.
You will be supervised by Dr. Ke Zhou (https://sites.google.com/site/keadamzhou/, http://www.cs.nott.ac.uk/~pszkz/).

The scholarship covers the tuition fee and full living stipend.
The position is open to UK, EU and international students.

*Topics*: information retrieval, machine/deep learning, user modeling, text (data) mining.

*Requirements*:
- Candidates must have a good Masters Degree (or a BSc Degree with excellent records) in Computer Science or related subjects.
- Candidates must be confident in some of these areas: information retrieval, machine learning, statistics, have excellent programming skills, be fluent in English and possess good communication skills.
- Previous experience in research and a track record of publications is preferable.

*Start date*: 01/10/2019 (negotiable, can be earlier)
*Duration*: 3+1 years
