B 公元的纪年

在读或写公元的纪年时，用hundred作单位而不用thousand。

1987年可读做 nineteen hundred and eighty－seven或略去hun- dred而读做nineteen eighty－seven。

在公元前的纪年后面加BC（=Before Christ基督降生前）。公元以后的纪年有时可以在前面加上AD（=Anno Domini，inthe year of the Lord耶稣纪元或公元）。一般读法有两种：1500 BC可读做one thousand five hundred BC或 fifteen hun- dred BC。
