The study of history places too much emphasis on individuals. The most significant events and trends in history were made possible not by the famous few, but by groups of people whose identities have long been forgotten.

Basically, to study the  history there are many ways , we can see it from different angles and different interpretations of artifacts or other imformation . The same holds true in understanding the people's roles in significant events and trends in history . We can study the performance of groups of ordinany people , as the author asserts , but in my opinion,  we should emphasize in the performance of some key figures on the following reasons .

Firstly , the materials of famous individuals are more accessible . As far as I know , many historical materials handed down to us , in terms of people's history ,are almost  about the famous individuals , we can  hardly find  descriptions about groups of ordinary people .

Secondly, looking into key figures , to some extent , is better or more accessible than looking into groups of ordinary .Admittedly , the history can 't be created by  just a few individuals , however , history tells us that the influence of these important individuals shouldn't be underestimated , especially at the key points of every signifiacant events and trends . To begin with the political espect , we all know the Lincoln' s famous Emancipation Droclamation during the civil war ; Deng Xiao Ping' s Open Policy on the development of China. Moreover , in the scientific field , Einstein's Relativism is a breakthrough to the classic physics ; Copernicus 's De Revolutionibus violates the Dtolemiactheory . In addition , in other fields , there are also numerous examples , such as Ford Herry who brought cars into the life of ordianry people ; Bill Gates who establishes the Internet 's domintory position today.   All these above inform us that , due to the unique power or intelligence of some individuals ,they can surely influence our lives in a large way , studying them we could know the events and trends more clearly and precisely .

Thirdly , someone may ask : does it lead to bias and prejudice conclution if emphasizing  on the key figures ? Definitely not . As I have noted in the beginning , the history can't be rehearsed ,so we use different resources and look from different aspects to presant it . To study key figures 's roles in significant events and trends is also one of those methods . Besides ,  to emphasize one thing doesn't to ignore another , we could also get reference from other resourses . Of couse when we approach to the peformance of these individuals we surely should keeps a objective minds in order not missing any important clues .

To sum up, the emphasis on individuals when we study the history is a appropriate way , if the researcher keeps a obejective mind , it  also leads  to a  justice and valuable result.

我觉得你对题目的把握还是有些欠缺。
这个题目是讨论现在的历史研究过分看重了个人在历史中的作用，忽视了群体的作用。你应该讨论到底现在是不是这个现象， 然后给出理由。
认为是，那么就讨论群体对于历史发展的作用，因此要研究群体。
认为不是，那么就强调个人对于历史发展的贡献。

你理解得有点偏，你认为从个人的角度有助于研究历史。跟题目还是有差距的。
所以你得thesis，body1 boy3都有点偏
另外，body1写得太简单了，gre作文中的每个body都要展开深入地讨论，有tc和例子才可以。
