some comments to SAT高分经验谈

A good post to recommend to those who are planning to take SAT. Just one word of discouragement, there are just too many students scoring perfect scores in SAT from all over the world nowadays. In my previous high school in Singapore, the SAT average score is 1460. There are just too many students scoring above 1550. If you are a high school graduate from China, it's simply just too hard to compete with people from some other countries like South East Asia, African Amrica, ect. I was reluctant to say that I was kind of astonished to hear that an SAT of 1400 is considered a high score. (Yes an SAT of 1400 is really a wonderful score for Chinese students). But the same score happened on another student from some other countries will cause him or her to cry and strive to obtain at least 1550 next time. I will cry also. Alternatively, why not concentrate more on your TOEFL and academics? I do hear from a Chinese student who got perfect score on TOEFL without taking SAT to get the full scholarship from Yale University. There are really something worthwhile for Chinese high schools students to think over.
