The teachers of the New oriental school always say there is no use to go to the English corner, is it true?

Well, as long as you have alternatives, try not to go to English Corner. Please remember it is really hard to find someone who really knows English at an English Corner, even though there're some native speakers. But what are the odds for you to talk with one of the foreigners face to face?

I can't agree with the upper any more!
'cause we don't have adiquate language environment in China now. Believe or not, chatting in English corner can only practice ur JUNIOR ENGLISH. &:)
Anyway, I recommend u go and find a fix partner. That would be much better.

Maybe you could try to talk with yourself. It may sound weird, but think about it. Whenever you have some feelings for whatever impressive, try to express to yourself in English. I'm sure it would be the most convenient and cost-effective way to improve oral English.

retell some simply stories, do not recite, either to yourself or to a fixed partner. You can also record your own voice with some recorder and check the problems in your speech.

Rather than wasting time in the English corner,I like to stay at home watching silly "Friends" series.
Anyway,talking to myself is also a good way to practise English speaking.

do not need to be very long
trifles is ok
such as your views on one thing,your attitudes towards your teacher(boss),the weather...

Admittedly , talking to yourself is a good way to improve your oral English, and i always do that on my way to the lessons. Morever, wathcing English speaking DVD may shed new light on you as well.
