depressed!

Today I felt very depressed! Want do nothing, want think nothing! I got a very high score in this year’s master degree entrance examination. But, now, my tutor is women. who achieved her Dr. degree in England just 2 years ago, neither has experience in guiding pupils nor has reputation in research field of oceangeography. Also I do not think she has any project. However, some others, with a low score, are instructed by academic authority in this field, only because they have call at the tutor before! I think it is unfair! Famous teachers mean more opportunity to access frontier research in this field, to take part in some important project. These experiences will be very important in my future work. Now what I can do is just study hard by myself.

I am depressed too.
however, difficulties can turn into oppotunities.
if your tutor is relatively young, you can co-operate with her more and exchange your idears more directly.
you must know, if your tutor is among the best of the field, he/she may have little time giving you instructions, but doing lots of things for himself, such as attending meetings or working for major companies. so just make full use of of your tutor. as for projects and funds, if you and your tutor can work out some valuable papers in your field, they will not be far away.

It is not easy to tell whether a young or an experienced mentor is good for you unless you have further communication with her. What's wrong with women tutors? They could be more sensitive, more careful in the industy. Look at the bright side of it dodo, hope everything goes smooth with you.

I've read this in an article today. It is said most of the graduate students now is lacking of the ability to do indepent research. So it may be not that bad to have an inexperienced tutor. Even though she doesn't have a lot of research experience, she has more academic idea.

Hey, buddies, almost all the suggestions have been given out by u. So what is left for me?

Anyway, Dodo, just take me as a example, my legal clinician is a wet-nose instructor to my mind. Yet i m so grateful  for her open discussion and  academic cooperation with students!!

--so just try to get to the famous pro.
  in fact, famous pros like young people with emotion. if you can show more emotion to him and his work, maybe you can do the job of your tutor. that's what I 've experienced in my college.
