The Consumer Banking Business of DBS, HK is a leading provider of Wealth Management, Insurance, Cards and payments, as well as deposits and secured lending products.

The Consumer Bank & Wealth Management Business Finance team sits within the Finance organization and is one of the strategic partners for the Consumer Banking & Wealth Management business. This role would cover direct stakeholder management, as well as supporting business strategy and driving business results with data-based insights.   The incumbent must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets, a variety of data mining/data analysis methods to find opportunities for driving business growth.

Responsibilities

- Strategic business partnering - support the Consumer Bank and Wealth Management businesses in Hong Kong

- Engage with Product groups within Consumer Banking- Deposits and Secured Lending, Cards and Unsecured Lending, Investments and Treasury products and Bancassurance

- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions, provide strategic and data-driven insights to grow revenues and profitability

- Interface with business leaders to review business performance (including CEO reviews)

- Drive a culture of analytics and use introduce advanced analytics to solve business challenges

- Manage a team to deliver exceptional performance and analytical capability

- Use data visualization tools to articulate business challenges and review performance on an ongoing basis

- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes

- Create analytical tools and meaningful performance indicators to track business performance

- Assist with Liquidity and Capital strategies for the bank in Hong Kong

- Involve in strategy for segment budgets as well as finalization of targets

- Analyse product margins and profitability, business volumes, with external market benchmarking and intelligence

- Drive strategic cost management with the business

- Support new projects and initiatives as required

- Ensure proper business revenue recognition, expense booking and other relevant accounting matters

Requirement

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other closely related field

- Ideally with 10+ years professional work experience in Business planning and analysis, financial analysis, research and/or consulting.

- Data analytics/statistics projects related experience will be a huge plus

- Good understanding of Banking products

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in stakeholders’ management

- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques

- Strong data mining, database management and programming skills preferred

- Experience with visualization software (Qlikview, PowerBI or equivalent) preferred

- Knowledge of Hyperion and PSGL

- Prior exposure to budgeting processes, Funds Transfer Pricing and Investment and Treasury Products

- Understanding of Cards, Consumer Banking business

- Prior experience with business and data management initiatives

- English, Cantonese (preferred but not mandatory)
