我是独女，本来一直担心会是个问题。 为了强调他们在国内的“紧密联系”下面这样一
封给VO的信。

Dear Visa Officer,

I am inviting my parents to come to visit us for a few months.

My parents live well and have excellent medical and retirement benefits back
in China, and have their own apartment.  They are highly respected by our
entire family, their friends, former colleagues and employers.

They always feel more comfortable to live in China due to the culture
difference.  Their health can be better maintained and medical problems can be
better treated because of the medical benefits they are entitled in China, and
the convenience of speaking Chinese in the medical treatments.  My father, who
is a retired professor and the former department chairman, still participates
in some research activities in the university he used to work.   

Like the previous visits to the States, their stay with us will be brief and
temporarily.  They will go back to China in time.  During their stay, we will
take them for some short-distance trips to visit some places in California,
and enjoy some family reunion time.   

I sincerely hope that the B-2 visas can be granted.

很顺利。只问了几个问题。
VO: 去过几次？
回答：四次。
VO: 上次为什么住了7个月？
回答：因为SARS。
VO: （看到爸爸是退休教授），教什么的？
回答：。。。
8：30的appointment,8：40就通过了。我们准备的材料都没有用上。连上次延长的移民局
的信件也没有要。 等护照一直等到将近11：00。
祝所有父母都能顺利。
