学汽车的，本科和硕士都是。

快毕业了，打算申请本校的EE，比较喜欢电动汽车。因为缺少相关背景，我的主旨是表示我强烈的兴趣。

所有的情况均属实，包括考试的东西。我觉得考试的那段比较废话，不过又觉得这样可以突出我参加考试以后，对AE和EE的不同感受。483个字，刚好word一页。有劳各位了。

My name is renzheshengui, an international master student in Automotive Engineering enrolled in 2003, and will graduate in the January of 2005. I want to apply for the master program in Electrical Power Engineering in Chalmers 2005.

I have the background of mechanical engineering. My specialty in undergraduate university is vehicle engineering, and I continued this major to my master program. After almost three-year study of vehicle, I obtained knowledge about the structure of vehicle, the characteristic of vehicle behaviors and other related knowledge such as biomechanics when I was learning crash safety. All these knowledge help me to perform like an automotive engineer when working.

I am interested in hybrid electrical vehicle most. When I was a junior, I started to read some articles introducing electrical vehicles. And I was lucky that I joined in a research group for developing an electrical bus in China. That is a low-floor pure electrical, battery powered bus. During my working in that group, not only did I finished the work to improve the structure of the chassis, but designed the connection of the batteries and power system to other parts of the vehicle under the tutorial of an engineer. What’s more, I went to the R&D shop to work on this bus, connect the cables and study its behavior. That is my first time working on electrical vehicle.

In Sweden, besides my master program, I applied to take part in the Grönabilen, a study program on the issue of environmentally friendly vehicles. I took two courses, and one of them is Hybrid Drives. This course really interested me especially the assignment of 4QT system. After comparing the fuel consumption of the 4QT system to that of series and parallel systems, I found 4QT is really the best configuration I had ever seen! Hybrid electric system requests a lot of control of the engine, power system and electrical machine, so I wanted to continue the study of control theory. Unfortunately, because of lack of time, I could not continue learning control theory and moreover, I did not have time to take the exam of Hybrid Drives.

This winter, I took the re-exam of Hybrid Drives. I found that I really need to learn the knowledge of electrical engineering on the system level. I know how to solve the problems related to automotive engineering, but I am not sure about all the electrical ones, including electrical machines and fuel cells. I cannot stop here. I want to learn more about electrical engineering.

I am really interested in hybrid electrical vehicles; I want to be a HEV expert. I have the knowledge of vehicle engineering already; what needed is the knowledge of electrical engineering. I am here applying for the master program of electrical power engineering. I am sure that this program will help me to do further research of hybrid vehicles.
