题目"Government should place few, if any, restrictions on scientific research and development

Nowadays, science is more and more significant for its great contribution to our society.  Everyone knows that today’ high living stander benefits much from the science research. See the three technology revolution, every time it makes great improvement on our living level. But here there is another problem related with it, that is how the government should do with it, whether place few, if any, restriction on scientific research or put it under strict regulation. As far as I am concerned, a balance should be hit concerning how many governmental regulations are proper for scientific research and development.
It is the scientific research make the society progress. Without them
Too much restriction will only thwart the progress of scientific research. Firstly, the government can not decide which kinds of research should take place and which kinds should not, indeed, no one know it. We can not stop a research just because it may be not helpful to us. It is quite possible that it make great improvement on our living level. Take Einstein’ relativism as example, when it published, nobody could understand it and all the people believed that grant is right, it has no use at all. Today, it is commonly used in physics research as a basic theory. It also makes us know the great power in the nucleus. Now nuclear power stations make a important role in the electricity produce industry and it will become even more important in the future. How did anybody know its endless pragmatism when Einstein did his research? Furthermore, Common sense tells us that scientific research is a creative work, and the most important things for it are imagine and the courage to adventure. Therefore, too much regulation must stymie the scientific research procedure. Beside, nobody likes doing everything under other’s regulation. This may hurt the motivity of the researchers, then do harm for the scientific research. To sum up, the government should place as few restrictions as possible.
However, without regulation, problems will appear in many aspects. Although we can not know which thing is useful in the future well, we can see which thing is intend to endanger human beings clearly. Some people put their personal benefits on the first place, they want to earn money at any costs such as environment, the others’ benefits and so on. If the government let this trend go, lots of problems will appear. Meanwhile, we should be aware of some extremists and terrorists. Their research will do harm for the whole human being if the government have no restriction on them. Besides, more caution should be paid to controversial problems that are concerned with ethic and genetic issues such as the clone of human being. These kinds of research will not do ham for the human being or at least their bad aspects are not patent, but they will arise numerous ethic and genetic debates which may make our society become unsteady. So proper regulations should be placed on them.
In conclusion, when we realize the need of proper restriction on scientific research, we should also be aware of the potential detriment caused by the too much regulations. We must set up a balance of them.

It is the scientific research make that makes the society progress. Without them
Too   much restriction will only thwart the progress of scientific research. Firstly, the government can not decide which kinds of research should take place 能这样用?怎么觉得那么别扭 and which kinds should not, indeed, no one know it.   俩句子中间没连词We can not stop是停止?还是阻止prevent? a research just because it may be not helpful to us. Furthermore, Common sense tells us that scientific research is a creative work, and the most important things for it are imagine imagination and the courage to adventure. Therefore, too much regulation must stymie the scientific research procedure. Besides, nobody likes doing everything under other’s regulation. This may hurt the motivity of the researchers, then do harm for to  the scientific research. To sum up, the government should place as few restrictions as possible.

So proper regulations should be placed on them.有争议的课题,就很难判断了,如果定标准怎么定呢?貌似跟上段有点矛盾

In conclusion, when we realize the need of proper restriction on scientific research, we should also be aware of the potential detriment caused by the too much excessive  regulations. We must set up a balance of between  them.

错误好多啊,不过论证方面还是挺流畅的,语言上再努力一下~
