房地产与建筑系（REC）在房地产和建筑管理方面的研究和教学享有世界级的声誉。 该系开设了历史悠久、非常成功且具有竞争力的专业教育计划，校友在公共和私营部门担任高级职位。学术人员拥有广泛的专业知识，几乎涵盖了建筑、城市、房地产和保护的各个方面。 作为建筑学院的一部分，REC 在 2021 年 QS 大学建筑环境学科排名中位列世界第 14 位。 根据香港研究评估工作 (RAE) 2020，其研究质量在建筑环境小组中排名第一。

研究助理申请要求

·            申请人须拥有知名大学城市经济学、计量经济学、计算机科学、气候学或相关领域的硕士或以上学位。

·            需要擅长以下数据分析技能之一：计量经济学建模、计算建模、机器学习、生存分析、基于代理的模型和地理空间分析。

·            有出色的研究项目经验和出版物的申请者优先。

·            申请人将被邀请参与风险投资、城市创业、气候变化和土地经济等方面的研究项目。因此，具有相关研究兴趣和背景的申请人会被认为具有竞争优势。

Research Assistant/PhD Studentship in Urban Economics

Applicationsare invited for appointment as Research Assistants or PhD Students inUrban Economics in the Department of Real Estate and Construction, TheUniversity of Hong Kong, to commence in March, or thereafter as soon aspossible. The RA position is on a one-year basis with possibility to renewaccording to working performance or with success in PhD applications.  

TheDepartment of Real Estate and Construction (REC) enjoys a world-classreputation for its research and teaching in real estate and constructionmanagement. It runs long-established, highly successful, and competitiveprofessional education programmes, with alumni holding senior positions in thepublic and private sectors. Its academic staff has a broad spectrum ofexpertise, covering virtually every aspect of construction, urban, real estate,and conservation. Being a part of the Faculty of Architecture, REC contributesto the world ranking of 14th under the QS University Subject Rankings 2021 inBuilt Environment. Its research quality is ranked 1st in the Built Environmentpanel according to the Hong Kong Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2020.

Requirements

·            Applicantsmust have a research Master or above degree in Urban Economics, Econometrics,Computer Science, Climatology or related fields from a prestigious university.

·            Applicantsneed be specialised at one of following data analysis skills: econometricmodelling, computational modelling, machine learning, survival analysis,agent-based models and geospatial analysis.

·            Applicantswith an outstanding track record of research project experience andpublications are preferred.

·            Applicantswill be invited to participate in research projects in relation to venturecapital and urban entrepreneurship and climate change and land economy etc. Thus,applicants with relevant research interests and background are conceived of acompetitive edge.
