1-2 funded PhD positions in Mechanical Engineering are available for Fall 2022 at Temple University.  One research focus is on the design of architected composite structures for 3D printing.  More broadly, the student will be exposed to computational materials and mechanics of energy, nano/bio, and engineering materials.  The student will have opportunities to work with experimentalists and data scientists to generate high-impact research works.  Temple University is located in Philadelphia, the sixth-most populous U.S. city, about 2 hours from New York City and 3 hours from Washington DC.  Temple University is ranked 103 by US News.  Interested candidates from ME and related programs (e.g. Engineering Mechanics, Materials, Civil Engineering) can send CV, transcripts and standardized test scores to ling.liu@temple.edu
