We even cannot image that if our president would though only about how to invade other countries, or the executive of a company puts the profit to the most important position, what our world will be like. The green earth would turn gray, and the people living next to each other would concern about themselves, even the neighbor got severe sick. Therefore, I strong agree with the speaker that whether the leader take some methods to prove his power ness, the ethic and moral cannot be dropped.
Firstly, only the leader with highest ethical and moral standards can serves his people well. We all know that one of the great leader of China, Zhou Enlai. He try his best to improve the country, without taking much time to concern his health. He considered more about how to let the common people live better lives than his own family. He contributed all his life to establish a new, powerful government, even only had 4 hours to sleep everyday. Because of his great contribution, we now can have the right to go to school, have the freedom to take part in any legal activity, and have the chance to improve ourselves. We would not forget what he has done to China. Therefore, we can conclude from this example, so important it is for a leader to have high level of ethic and moral. This is the prerequisite of the prosper of a country.
Furthermore, to be a effective leader, he must take the persisting progress into consideration. Without the tremendously high pace of the development of the science and technology, the leader may focus his aim to how to decrease the cost, how to make profit, the more the better, how to become a more powerful corporation in the business area and so on. But these ones all overlook the most severe aftermath. The environment has been destroyed, some rare species become extinct, many animals lose their home, and in the some places, the ozone sphere has been exhausted so more ultraviolet radiation can reach the earth, threatening the security of human beings and all other lives. If the leader cannot find this terrible sequence and take some measures to offset, we can only leave our offspring a deserting earth.
In common sense, no one would support a leader if he/she has done some illegal things. Take this one into consideration, Bill Clinton, the pre-president of American, who always shows his efficient working pattern, and admirable family life, he love his wife and lovely daughter until the scandal zipper gates broken out. The masses of America lose their confidence to his, even the people all of the world laugh at what a fatuous man he is. Even if he once proved his effectiveness and efficiency, the American persons will not elect his to be the next president. Therefore, we can see that the ethic and moral are the criterion whether a leader can bring them peace and progress. A leader cannot even process his work if he lose the support of his people, the only one way he would take is to resign.
In conclusion, In every society, no matter in ancient times or modern times, a leader without highest ethical and moral standards is impossible to put his people on the first important position, maybe only consider how to make his own ambitions come true. These ones even if they really have the capacity to manage a country, they must eventually become the sinner of the history, just like Hitler who started the World War Two.
