The research team ofDr. Calvin Or at the University of Hong Kong invites applications for a PhDstudent position in the field of health informatics, healthcare data analytics,patient safety, and human factors.

Dr. Calvin Or is currently an associateprofessor and assistant head in the Department of Industrial and ManufacturingSystems Engineering (IMSE) at the University of Hong Kong.  Hisresearch work focuses on the application of human factors and ergonomics toimprove the design and usability of health care work system and technology toenhance the satisfaction, safety, and health of patients and health careprofessionals. We expect to admit exceptionally motivated andqualified candidates – those who have earned (i) a first-class-honorundergraduate degree from a top 100 university and/or (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2023) (ii) a master's degree, specialized inindustrial engineering, human factors, healthcare systems engineering, computerscience, statistics, or other related areas.

Dr. Calvin Or 简介: https://www.imse.hku.hk/people/c-k-l-or.Dr. Calvin Or 目前是香港大学工业及制造系统工程系副教授和助理系主任。他的研究工作侧重于人因工程的应用，以改善医疗保健系统的技术设计和可行性, 从而提高医疗保健专业人员的满意度、安全和健康保障。

研究方向包括：健康信息学；医疗健康相关的数据分析；健康系统工程，病患安全；人因工程，人机交互等。

要求如下：

我們希望錄取積極性高且合格的候選人:

•  獲得(i) 世界排名前100 大學的一等榮譽本科學位 (GPA 3.6/4.0 以上) (https://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2023) 和/或(ii) 碩士學位，專業於工业工程、人因工程、醫療保健系統工程、计算机科學、统计学或其他相关学科。

•  英语成绩满足香港大学研究生院入学要求。

•  拥有较强学术背景（例如，在校期间获得一等奖学金，毕业院校为双一流高校等）优先考虑。

入学时间：
预计2023年9月可入学。
