There is no denial that everyone are is dreaming of a splendid destiny of the society we belong to. What I believe is that tomorrow of society is not obscure and far away, it's predictable through today's education of children including socialization, which serves as an important factor paralleling with other ingredients. Considering of the significance, more attentions have been poured onto how to raise children continuously/ ceaselessly, and an efficient education system have been set up, covering family education, society education and formal education.

First of all, let me explain what the socialization for children means. To push children to the environment of society from a small circle of family or group, in order to make children fuse into large circle to learn the behaviors and speeches of society members, to seek for society-acceptance and self-value, to cooperate with others and benefit for the whole group. It's a process of exposing one to a whole new world with complexity to deal with and of mingling/ blending one with others in society as well.

Secondly, regarding the socialization as an instrument which proved effective, better or worth, on influencing children’s behavior, successively determining the destiny of society, I have three points to present: on one hand, socialization which opens children's minds to the colorful society can simultaneously make a preparation for future demand of society. Only through socialization can children grow up from premature fledgling and get ready for contribution whenever society calls for, as storage of precious human resources serving for society. A passage from Taipei Daily commenting on education system of Taiwan speoke loudly as follows " ... Our education system, due to the effect of insularity, is too narrow to ignore socialization of students, so that the gap between our new generation and the mainland children has been enlarged and it's hard to predict how the situation will be in next two decades..." In fact. Chinese mainland students are stronger and more mature than the corresponding Taiwan children in the same age, mostly because of the early socialization education. On the other hand, cultivation of personality for cooperation by socialization can meet the requirement of future society since no nation can survive isolated against the overwhelmingly fierce tide of globalization. Cooperation is a far-sight strategy of a nation and a society rather than an ordinary ability for an individual. Children, who are reluctant to communicate intrinsically and abandon the socialization education will definitely lose many chances in the future, so as the nation, the deficiency may induce an obstacle for development of the whole society. Moreover, on the contrary, exposure to society’s nasty dark corner more and deeply will lead to unbelievable result/ consequence/ fruit /outcome for the nation, the society, even the race. Take the photograph of Irak children for example. What filled in their eyes were nothing but fear and hatred result from the abnormal socialization by war. Who knows what the Irak will be in the future? So, it’s clear that socialization of a new generation does have the power and magic to ruin our society as it enhances it.

Although the dark-sides of education exist inevitably, the mainstream education system ensures the current society sound and healthy, with rapid development and stable environment. So that's why I assume the speaker’s view seems a little bit pessimistic on the issue of whether we have learnt how to raise children. Our education system has already acquired its way and been carried out by the entire society, for less criminal, more stability; less the very starving "girl who sold matches on Christmas Eve", more abundance / wealthy familis; less ignorance, more intelligence serving for our society. Consciously or unconsciously, a moderate social environment for children, neither too loose nor too harsh, has already been provided/launched. And more couples take it for granted to be experts on children education even before pregnancy or marriage. Formal education, including kindergardens , primary schools, also reforms to supply better education relating to social resources rather than didactic instilling as before. No doubt that being aware of the effects and the problems dooms to contribute a lot to a even better society.

Encouraged by the latent power and hope from children, nobody can help oneself from imaging the promising future of the fresh boys and girls as well as our society which is determined by education of this new generation. What a promising tomorrow it will be like must beyond our imagination.
