Job Responsibilities

The optimal candidate will be required to:

1.  Help with desktop search, academic search, summarizing literature, collecting secondary data, sorting and transforming data (if needed);

2.  Performing various types of statistical analyses. Assist faculty in various research activities, including conducting literature reviews in English and Chinese and collecting data (and coding qualitative) from multiple sources;

3.  Minor help with teaching such as course material preparation and other class coordination

Job Requirement

1. A master’s student or an upper-level undergraduate in Finance or Economics who is detail-oriented and self-motivated is preferred for this position, but an experienced candidate with outstanding abilities instatistical analyses with other qualifications would be considered too;

2.  Some experience in case writing is desirable, but not mandatory;

3.  Ability to read English (and Chinese) academic research papers and write high-to good-quality reports in English;

4.  Expertise in most used statistical analysis software (e.g., STATA, R, and SPSS); knowledge of qualitative research methods such as case studies is desirable;

5.  Advanced knowledge of desktop applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF editors;

6.  Working knowledge of Python and similar programming languages;

7.  Experience with desktop search using Google and academic search engines.

8.  Ability to:

·  work independently with minimum supervision;

·  critical thinking and a desire to take the initiativeto explore and undertake new research methods and sources;

·  when needed, work from the CEIBS campus (e.g.,during class time) or visit companies.

Employment Period:

Preference will be given to candidates who can commit one year or potentially longer.

Working Hours

About 10-15 hours per week in a mostly flexible schedule with occasional work on the CEIBS campus. Other times, remote working via Tencent Meeting, Office Teams, Zoom, or WeChat.
