ISSUE183: As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and more mysterious.
马上就要考了,也没什么太大的提高了,大家帮我看看吧,顺便问一下这样的作文又没有4分^^
--------------------------------------------------------------
Along with the fast speed of development[along with the tremendous booming and zooming] of science and technology, more unknown things[just say it is mysery will be ok] are exposed to human. Therefore, some people tend to consider that the more knowledge we acquire, the more complex and mysterious things to be[more, more structure could be modified more flowery]. In[from] my point of view, I fundamentally agree with this assertion since it is human's nature to explore the unknown as knowledge accumulated.
One[on] the one hand, as science advance, we human[dont have to type human in my opinion] has acquired much more[change "much more"] knowledge of various fields than ever before. Hence we get a clearer and more comprehensive perspective toward the world and other things. Therefore, people gradually acquire the capability to explain many things that were once conceived as mysterious or unexplainable ones and needed to turn for religion for help[you may chase back the history and more rational and emotinal to illustrate this point]. For instance, lightning, a very natural phenomenon, was once treated and believed as the result of god's action in many tales of many nations or countries. However, with the help of science[bestowed with science], people have learned that it is just the result of the function between massive electronics in the clouds and is a common natural phenomena[y use pl. form] just like sunlight and wind and so forth. Furthermore, in the ancient time of Europe, people thought that the earth was the pivot of the universe and all the other stars were rolling around the earth. As time passes by, advancing science tells[inculcate] us that it is not the case and on the contrary, the earth is rolling around the sun which is also a small and common star in the magnitude universe. Hence the theory has successfully explained many mysterious things when people's thoughts were all based on the old earth-centered knowledge system. In other words, the advancement has prepared people with wide scope of knowledge and perspective, which make a variety of things and phenomena explicit.[your point is ok, since the your exam is coming, try to momerize some of advanced words which you use often]
On the other hand, due to the inner characteristic of pursuing the unknown in human, the more people know, the more complex and mysterious things to be. Common sense tells us that people are always unsatisfied with what they have. The inner quality is the very impetus for people to ceaselessly explore the unknown beyond the established knowledge system[good!]. Therefore, things are becoming more complex and mysterious than before[押韵complex and perplex~]. For instance, classical mechanics founded by the great scientist Newton were treated as the perfect standard at that time to explain many things such as the phenomena of gravity and so on. However, it is not the end of human's explorure of nature. The classical mechanics could not necessarily explain all the things in the universe especially when it refers to either macroscopical or microcosmic activities. Therefore, people get more confused by these strange phenomena. Things like these are innumerable in history. The more people know, the more they would contact and thus the more confused they become.[your point is clear and good]
However, it is not to say that things remain unchanged to be complex and mysterious[hardly can we assert that...]. People' strive would one day make all these mysterious things explained.[不敢苟同] Yet though the classical mechanics are not fit to serve as regulations of macroscopical or microscopic activities, people have tried other more reasonable and rational theories. The theory of relativity, an excellent theory founded by a well-known scientist Einstein, has perfected attain this goal, which is deemed to be one of the most significant breakthroughs in human history. Nevertheless people get confused again that several minor flaws also lies in the theory in some particular circumstances, people surly would find other more suitable explanations to these exceptions.
To sum up, owning to people's inner characteristic of ceaseless pursuing the unknown, the more knowledge people get, the more unknown they would contact, and therefore the more complex things become. Yet people should never be frustrated since with the effort of people, all these mysterious things could be perfectly explained.
[your point is clear and very reasonable, if you finished ahead of time, you can alter some of sentence to be more complex to demonstrate your capability of writing.
from my point of view, you get at least 4.5~5 in terms of the evaluation of the ETS ] |
