ISSUE 50 贴在这的第一篇,帮忙改一下

ISSUE 50  In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach.

Although i contend it is unreasonable and unnecessary for all college faculty to work outside academic, i strongly agree that spending time on the work relevant to the courses can indeed optimize the instructions from college teachers to students more effectively and efficiently.

To begin with, engaging in professions linked to the courses can enrich teachers' minds and make his lectures more concrete and attractive. If a teacher works for some time, his mind will be replete with a lot of working stories and examples. When he comes back to class with these fresh and lively experiences, he will naturally introduce them to the students in his lecture. Especially when he interprets some boring concepts and principles as some vivid and interesting examples he has experienced, the student can understand them more easily. Meanwhile his contagious explanation will attract the students and stimulate their interests largely.

Another point to support my view is that a teacher's working experience can make his instructions more practical and convincing. I graduated from a normal university. In my experience, I perceive what I learned in the university did not apply to my later teaching job. In other words, what my professors taught were not so practical. Most of time in the university, we learned the knowledge about our specialty from books. With respect to the actual teaching skills, we were taught merely some theories and traditional examples which have already been out-of-date.  Simply suppose if our teachers have worked in a middle school for some time, they would have smelt out what skills today's teaching job is demanding most and what teaching notion is the most practical. They would adjust their lectures and take the most feasible teaching method to help students to meet with the changing demands of work. In this way, their instructions will be more suggestive to students for their future career. Besides, due to their own experiences, teachers’ guidance will also be convincing and acceptable.

Moreover, working experience can also benefit teachers' own research and personal improvement.  Today's society is developing so rapid that everyone has to keep a close pace with any advancement, not to mention the professors in universities. They should not only detect any progress, especially in their professional areas, but also foretell the tendency of their specialty. Participating in some vocations related to their courses will help them keep abreast of the society. The job they take can reflect the newest development in their researching field and also expose the controversial and potential problems on which they need to research for future. All of these working experiences provide them with abundant researching materials and thinking ways.  Thus they and their students will be the positive beneficiary of these research.

However, i must come up with two points here. First, for some specific academic areas, it is not an advisable program to work in related profession instead of doing pure research and teaching in universities.  Take the professors who study dinosaur evolution for instance. Maybe it is more feasible to study the dinosaur's bones in the laboratory rather than working as an interpreter in the museum. Second, some people may worry whether working outside the academic will abstract teachers from the academic research and teaching job. Actually it is quite easy to solve. We all know teachers have at least two vacations every year. They can arrange themselves to work in that period. In this way, both will get along well.

In conclusion, most college faculty can offer more helpful and practical instructions by engaging in some occupations related to their courses except for some particular areas. Meanwhile, each teacher should plan his working objective and embark on the specific job at the proper time according to the characters of his specialty for the sake of the most efficient and suggestive instructions to students.   (633)

Although i(I,这个就不用再说了吧) contend it is unreasonable and unnecessary for all college faculty to work outside academic, i strongly agree that spending time on the work relevant to the courses can indeed optimize the instructions from college teachers to students more effectively and efficiently.
(两句都用I做主语略现单调,换换句式。from后面有歧异,句子不通)

To begin with, engaging in professions linked to the courses can enrich teachers' minds and make his lectures more concrete and attractive. If a teacher works for some time, his mind will be replete with a lot of working stories and examples. When he comes back to class with these fresh and lively experiences, he will naturally introduce them to the students in his lecture. Simply suppose if our teachers have worked in a middle school for some time, they would have smelt out what skills today's teaching job is demanding most and what teaching notion is the most practical.(后半句双谓语且没有任何限制性成分……) They would adjust their lectures and take the most feasible teaching method to help students to meet with the changing demands of work. In this way, their instructions will be more suggestive to students for their future career. Besides, due to their own experiences, teachers’ guidance will also be convincing and acceptable.

Moreover, working experience can also benefit teachers' own research and personal improvement. The job they take can reflect the newest development in their researching field and also expose the controversial and potential problems on which they need to research for future. All of these working experiences provide them with abundant researching materials and thinking ways. Thus they and their students will(would好过will吧) be the positive beneficiary of these research.

总体思路和结构还是好的,只是句式和词汇在下下功夫,嘿嘿,和偶的问题一样。应该不是限时写的吧
"If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be;
but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."--Lewis Carroll
