题目:
Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.
正文:
The so-called "Challenging education" and" education revolution" have called much attention to the way of teaching and learning. Commonly believed, and I also agree, students should learn to develop his own way of thinking and be skeptical about the knowledge imparted to them. Furthermore, passive learning will do no good in the discovery of truth.

Firstly, as we can see it, the current education, which has not effectively accepted an active participation of students in class, does not meet the demands from the career market. For example, many bosses complain that most graduates cannot adapt to the ever-changing situation and develop their own methods in settling problems, but just rely on the traditional ones, thus serving little help to increase the efficiency at work. This is not an isolated example, behind it is the inherent weakness of the teaching approaches nowadays, which still adopt the traditional ways of listing a series of facts and passing the fixed conclusions to the students. Thereby, in order to prepare students desirable for the modern society, we should encourage the students to bring a certain skepticism while learning.

Another necessity of skepticism lies in the nature of learning. Why do we learn and what should we learn? Are those former knowledge and principles still applicable in these days? All of these require the sense of skepticism. We should keep in mind that students are not engaged to reciting just some facts, but to developing more significant abilities to refresh their knowledge by further study and apply the former principles and theories to practice. If a student only sits in the classroom and passively receives everything that is imposed to him/ her, he/she may not really absorb the real meaning of it. Contrarily, if he/ she can raise some questions, in all likelihood, he has thought over in his own way, and taken the new knowledge into consideration.

Moreover, history has proven that skepticism has helped to make discoveries and approach the truth. If Copernicus did not raise doubts to the dominant concept, the truth of heliocentricism might be uncovered for much a longer time. Nor can we travel around the world easily today if Columbus did not suspect his teacher's words that the earth is round and people could not even stand on the other side of it. Actually, if students are passively receiving the teaching, he will lose creativity; he will not have the desire to consider a better solution and discover the problems. Just as the saying from Socrates to Plato--" I love my teacher, but I love the truth more." Therefore, we should not take it for granted that what is written in the textbooks and told by the teachers are definitely accurate.

Still, there is another opinion we should not neglect. Some people raise their worry that the emphasis on skepticism might probably lead to an illusion of overcriticizing, which means that the students are less likely to satisfy with the quality of education in their academic fields, and would probably decrease their interest in studying. However, as common sense tells us, everything should have some limitations. It can refer to the responsibility of teachers, who should instruct students not to be acting on the other extreme. Meanwhile, they should be cultivated as willing to take other advice. After all, knowledge gained by other's experience may greatly save the time and energy of the learners.

All in all, a certain skepticism is vital in the process of learning. As we can see from the history, our interpretation to the earth is not stable, while skepticism plays an important role to make discoveries. It helps to meet the demands of the companies and the nature of learning.

The so-called "Challenging education" and" education revolution" have called much attention to the way of teaching and learning. Commonly believed, and I also agree, students should learn to develop his(their) own way(s) of thinking and be skeptical about the knowledge imparted to them. Furthermore, passive learning will do no good in the discovery of truth.

Firstly, as we can see it, the current education, which has not effectively accepted an active participation of students in class, does not meet the demands from (to)the career market. For example, many bosses complain that most graduates cannot adapt to the ever-changing situation and develop their own methods in settling (fixing ,settling 有沉淀物的意思哦)problems, but just rely on the traditional ones, (似乎因果逻辑不强哦)thus serving little help to increase the efficiency at work. This is not an isolated example, behind it is the inherent weakness of the teaching approaches nowadays, (分析例子的句式比较好,学习ing)which still adopt the traditional ways of listing a series of facts and passing the fixed conclusions to the students. Thereby, in order to prepare (这里用prepare是否恰当呢?)   students desirable for the modern society, we should encourage the students(them) to bring a certain skepticism while learning.

Another necessity of skepticism lies in the nature of learning. Why do we learn and what should we learn? Are those former knowledge and principles still applicable in these days? All of these require the sense of skepticism. We should keep in mind that students are not engaged to reciting just some facts, but to developing (develop)more significant abilities to refresh their knowledge by further study and apply the former principles and theories to practice. If a student only sits in the classroom (sits in the classroom,  感觉有中文的味道哦)and passively receives everything that is imposed to him/ her, he/she may not really (建议删掉这个really,与后面有累赘)absorb the real meaning of it. Contrarily, if he/ she can raise some questions, in all likelihood, he has thought over in his own way, and taken the new knowledge into consideration.

Moreover, history has proven that skepticism has helped to make discoveries and approach the truth. If Copernicus did not raise doubts to the dominant concept, the truth of heliocentricism might be uncovered for much a longer time(修饰词顺序不对吧,比较别扭). Nor can we travel around the world easily today if Columbus did not suspect his teacher's words that the earth is round and people could not even stand on the other side of it. Actually, if students are passively receiving the teaching, he will (用might更严谨一点吧)  lose creativity; he will not have the desire to consider a better solution and discover the problems.

Just as the saying from Socrates to Plato--" I love my teacher, but I love the truth more." Therefore, we should not take it for granted that what is written in the textbooks and told by the teachers are definitely accurate.

Meanwhile, they should be cultivated as to be willing to take other advice.take other advice After all, knowledge gained by other's experience may greatly save the time and energy of the learners.

Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. They should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.
正文:
The so-called "Challenging education" and" education revolution" have called much attention to the way of teaching and learning. Commonly believed, and I also agree, students should learn to develop his前面的students复数,这里用his合适么 own way of thinking and be skeptical about the knowledge imparted to them.

Moreover, history has proven?proved that skepticism has helped to make discoveries and approaches ?to the truth.
