Issue 19
“If a society is to thrive , it must put its own overall success before the well-being of its individual citizens.”

What is the most essential element of being thrived to a society? Is its own overall success more important ? Or maybe the well-being of its individual citizens ? If you ask me of that ,I will concentrate both of them are the key to the society development. So ,the prosperity of the society is closely connected with the well-being of its people; these two factors are conducive to each other ,mutually indispensable.

The evolution of a society is embodied on three aspects .The wealth of a state is the accumulation of the wealth of its citizens .As we all know , revenue ,as the great mainstay of the economy earning ,do vital influence to the society .However ,revenue come from all the citizens and all the companies controlled by these people too. The second aspect is the power ! In a democratic society ,all the conductors are elected by the citizens of its state .People can give one the power and also can make the power leave you easily. Not so long ago, America just had hold its President Election in 2004 .George W. Bush had a very faint priority to John Kerry. Why people choose the first ,because they are convinced that America will thrived under the conduction of George W. Bush. For the last one , knowledge and know-how of the vast majority of its people also play an important role in the developing of the society. When we came into the 21century ,knowledge has become of the most productivity in the world and also the crucial evaluation on whether the society has been thrived .America as the main economic center in the world ,also regarded as the concernful knowledge university in the world. In the America there are thousands of universities and lots of elites from every country being further their study here every year. By using the myriad of knowledge in every parts of the production, worker can cut down the time ,short the working cost, and have more leisure time than before. For instance with the controlling by computers ,the work can be more efficient ,and merely dangerous .Proof of the key of the society’s prosperity can be found by simply looking at the development of every walk of life from around the world .In short the significant development of a state is embodied on these three factors ,and either one of them are mutually with the well-being of its individual citizens.

So it is absurd and irrational to put the overall success of the society over that of the well-being of the individuals ,without which the society cannot thrive. However ,its own overall success cannot be ignored .When all is said and done ,its own overall success final destination .With their interests ,in a state, when people do their best to meet the destinations ,they should promise whatever they have done cannot do any harmless to the state .In contrast, they must know it is justifiable to do their best to meet the state’s destination too.

Throughout the ages ,the interest of some people had violated for the overall interest of the majority ,and we can see it in the future ,which themselves offer no contradictory to the safeguarding that of the overall interest of the society. However these are extreme cases .

Now ,I can clearly tell you what is the answer at the first part ,after the analyzing above. Well-being of the citizens and the overall success ,mutually each other are equal on the influence of being thrived ,and without either of it ,the society cannot thrive .
