3、旅游的另外一个动机
4、现代技术会促进旅游发展
------题目------
Because of television and worldwide computer connections, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. As a result, tourism will soon become obsolete.
------正文------
Will tourism soon become obsolete because of the huge information provided by the television and worldwide computer connections which make people more familiar with many places so that they might do not want to go there any more? Although I concede the fact that nowadays the technology of television and Internet has been developing in a tremendous speed and people today are becoming more reliable and used to the advantage given by them, I could hardly admit that the thriving development of television and Internet would ultimately make tourism extinct. Supporting to my notion is a large number of unique features and characteristics of tourism, which could not be replaced by any other means. What is more, the rapid development of the television and worldwide computer connection, in my opinion, would in turn boost the prosperity of tourism rather than supplant it.

Admittedly, the television and Internet has become more and more prevalent in today's society and people's everyday life. By virtue of the advance communication technologies, people nowadays could come in touch with much more and comprehensive information than did their counterparts in the past and can get these information quite conveniently and quickly. So it is not surprising that most people today are willing to inquire about the specific situation of a place with the help of television and Internet and thus get quite acquainted with the place although they have actually never gone there before.

Yet, even if people are usually used to searching information about a place through television and Internet and thus become more familiar with the place, it does not necessarily mean that they may not want to visit that place just because they have been already familiar with it. To make such an unconvincing conclusion, the speaker might ignore the true reason why people take a trip. Generally, people travel to a new place usually in the desire of having a most vivid and impression feeling about the local culture and landscape. For example, many people would have a dream to ride a horse galloping in the wide and boundless prairie like the hero in the ancient legend. And many other people would like to go to the city Verona where Romeo and Juliet fell into love to commemorate this great and immortal love story. Then, how could these people get the same feeling or experience just through the cold screen of computer and television? And under these circumstances, who could advocate the assertion that tourism would become obsolete?

Another factor that make people travel is the willing to temporarily escape form the cumbersome working load and the intense competition today. People who go on a journey with this reason are not so concerned whether they are familiar with their destination or not. They just want to arrive in a serene place where no one knows them and have a good and tranquil rest. Thus, to these people, television and Internet could actually help them nothing.

Moreover, instead of making tourism obsolete, the thriving of television and worldwide computer connection might actually promote the prosperousness of it in my observation. Since it is usually just the familiarity of a certain place that drive people more eager and longing to go there. What is more, thanks to the detail information provided by television and Internet, people are more aware of the main feature of a place: which season is most suitable to visit there, are there any historic relics located in and so forth. Finally, when one has decided to go on a trip, he or she could through Internet to buy flight ticket and reserve a room in local hotel with more convenience. Hence, the benefits tourism gets form the television and worldwide computer connection are pretty obvious and undoubted.

Therefore, taking into account of all these factors, we might finally get the occlusion that although the television and Internet is truly very thrive and prevailing today, they could never replace tourism, since they simply could not provide a great number of benefits and experience that can only be offered by tourism.

Although I concede the fact that nowadays the technology of television and Internet has been developing in a tremendous speed and people today are becoming more reliable(不应该是人变的可靠吧) and used to the advantage given by them, I could hardly admit that the thriving development of television and Internet would ultimately make tourism extinct. Supporting to my notion is a large number of unique features and characteristics of tourism, which could not be replaced by any other means. Admittedly, the television and Internet has become more and more prevalent in today's society and people's everyday life. By virtue of the advance communication technologies, people nowadays could come in touch with much more and comprehensive information than did their counterparts in the past and can get these information quite conveniently and quickly. So it is not surprising that most people today are willing to inquire about the specific situation of a place with the help of television and Internet and thus get quite acquainted with the place although they have actually never gone there before.(觉得这段有点空了)

(怎么有啊狗的感觉,不喜欢这样的表达方式)Generally, people travel to a new place usually in the desire of having a most vivid and impression feeling about the local culture and landscape. For example, many people would have a dream to ride a horse galloping in the wide and boundless prairie like the hero in the ancient legend. And many other people would like to go to the city Verona where Romeo and Juliet fell into love to commemorate this great and immortal love story. (这个例子感觉不太好)Then, how could these people get the same feeling or experience just through the cold screen (能这样表达吗?)of computer and television? And under these circumstances, who could advocate the assertion that tourism would become obsolete? (不要为了提问而提问, 而且前后两个问题联系的也不是很紧?)

Another factor that make people travel is the willing to temporarily escape form the cumbersome working load and the intense competition today. People who go on a journey with this reason are not so concerned whether they are familiar with their destination or not. They just want to arrive in a serene place where no one knows them and have a good and tranquil rest. Thus, to these people, television and Internet could actually help them nothing.(也不能说一点用没有吧?可以做下对比)

Moreover, instead of making tourism obsolete, the thriving of television and worldwide computer connection might actually promote the prosperousness of it in my observation. Therefore, taking into account of all these factors, we might finally get the occlusion that although the television and Internet is truly very thrive and (去掉)prevailing today, they could never replace tourism, since they simply could not provide a great number of benefits and experience that can only be offered by tourism

这种话题比较难写的出彩,虽然很多方面都考虑到了,还是觉得对旅游给人带来的那种亲身感受的描述不够。
