Issue51 第1篇 让砖头来得更猛烈些吧!
Position:The trully effective education is student-centered education, which help students learn.
1. The traditional educational mode, which is teacher-centered education, ignores the needs and interests of each student.
2. The more vallid educational pattern is student-centered education, which effectively involve individual student in the learning process.
3. However, unreasonable requirements of student are harm for education.
In conclusion
------题目------
Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student.
------正文------
The speaker asserts that only when education, which often points teacher-centered education, meet the individual needs and interests of each student, it will be actually effective. I strongly disagree. Although it is necessary for teacher-centered education to meet individual student`s needs and interests, I think the effective education is student-centered education, which help student learn.
For the first place, the traditional techer-centered education ignores the needs and interests of each student. Teacher-centered education is teachers transfering knowledge to students but despite the reaction of students. Admittedly, we have not to acknowledge advantages of teacher-centered education for it really do its functions in the development of humen being`s history, in the broadcasting of knowledge, even in education of the nowadays prosperous society. The most classical example is the great educator of Chinese,Confucius, who ever used this pattern to teach thousands of his students. However, techer-centered education has its own disadvatages for it ignores the needs and interests of each student. The students now intend to learn what they want, but not those which will not benifit their future. In other words, students often show actively learning those knowledge they will apply in their future life and work. Being a teacher, just as in a college, they only impart students what they want to teach, but not refering to the practice that the student may confront. So, although students sit in the classroom, more and more them do not listen to the lecture or do irrespective work while the teacher is taking a lesson.
For the second place, the more valid educational pattern is student-centerd education, which effectively involve the individual students in the learning process. As we all know, after several years study in the school, the student will finally come back to society. What they receive in the school will help them begin their life and work. However, no one student think that they will not meet new complicated questions , which did not teached by teachers, in the daily life and job. And it is high time for them to resolve the difficulties personally though they can ask for some help from others. How they can solve and what degree they can reach mostly depend on what they learn in the school and what they gain in the practice. If, these time, students learn how to study in the school, most of all trouble will not the trouble. So, only student-centered education will meet the individual needs and interests of students because most of them know what they will do in the future.
However, unreasonable requirements of students will harm for education. Although we advocate student-centered education, the excessive needs and interesting of individual student would not be satisfied. For instance, some of the curriculums are basic courses for some subjects, such as basic chemistry is the foundation of biochemistry. if a student is just because of worrying about the boring of the basic chemistry and want to learn biochemistry directely, do we think he or she can do it well? The answer is obvious. Therefore, we must consider whether the commanding of student is appropriate while we emphasize on student-centered education.
There are still many evidences to support the foregoing point, which, unfortunately, I have no time to illustrate in detail. But what I had discussed above should well demonstrate my claim that student-centered educationthe is the effective education to help student learn. |
