The study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world. After studying the discipline, we see the same world as before, but with different eyes.

We study in an academic discipline at school. Yet, quite a lot of people complain that they had learnt nothing with the study of their majors. The knowledge they gained from the program seems useless. But, in my opinion, since we approach the field of our majors, the way we perceive the world has been altered, what is more? We not only see the same world with different eyes, but also we interact out world in different ways.

In the first place, we must make sense that what is the purpose of study, we study so as to learn our world more deeply. We enrolled in the school since we are young. Yet, hardly any people could count out that how much he/she had learned from school, as well as what is the purpose for him/her to go to study at school. In another word, our people sometimes ignore the purpose of studying. Some consider that the purpose of our study is to prepare for the exams, while some other may think that they study at school for their further development in their careers. However, none of these answer reveal the truth of our purpose of study. We study of an academic discipline could broaden our scope of knowledge, when we devote ourselves into the discipline, we could learn more about what is our world like, we could learn more about our world in a deeper way. For example, we watch star at nights, but we do not know what is the distant between our earth and the star unless we study the astronomy. Therefore, the study enables us not only the the apperance of our world, but also the truth, the intricate principle of it. So, our purpose of study is to learn our world more deeply.

In the second place, since we devote ourselves into the academic discipline, the study does alters the way we perceive the world. For example, once I could not tell apart between the classical music and the Jazz music. After studying music for two semester, not only I could tell apart varieties of music, but also I could find out what the composer want to convey through the music, sometimes I even feel myself in the background of the music, that is, I could perceive the music in a professional way. I do not think that I could manage myself to enjoy the music without studying of it. So, as it stands, the studying of an academic discipline does alter the way we perceive the world.

Another conspicuous problem which should be pointed out is that with the change in our perception, the way we interact with the world changes correspondingly. There will be hardly any expert computer a complex mathematic problem without the use of computer. Since they approach the academic discipline, the experts would take the computer as the tools instead of calculating the problem with pens and paper. The way they work in change correspondingly. Similarly, once a student have studied the law, what he do maybe change correspondly. He/She would obey the law and keep it in mind. So, such evidence show that the way we interact with the world changes correspondingly when our perception changes.

In conclusion, only based on the reasons mentioned above, could we make a conclusion that since we approach the field of our majors, the way we perceive the world has been altered, and we not only see the same world with different eyes, but also we interact out world in different ways, let alone there are still more evidence to support my opinion.
