昨天收到EMAIL通知，university of san francisco（虽然不是牛校，但是还是很开心），化学，MS，感谢寄托从考GT到申请一路的帮助！
Dear Yishun,

It is our pleasure to inform you that your application for admission to the Master of Science in Chemistry program at the University of San Francisco for Fall 2006 has been approved.

The Chemistry program is pleased to offer you a Graduate Scholarship of $5,790 (6 units of tuition) for each semester of graduate studies. For your first year of studies, the scholarship totals $11,580.

In addition, you are under consideration by the Chemistry graduate program for a Teaching Assistantship. Teaching Assistantship positions offer $7,200 per year based on working 20 hours per week. Decisions for T.A. positions are made after we have received your confirmed acceptance (see enclosed form) and a telephone interview has been conducted with you.

要拿TA还要面试一下，看来要好好准备，大家能给点意见吗？

本人背景：上大 小本  后来直研 现在在读研一 没有PAPER  申请这个学校之前收到过该校的招生广告明信片 T：647+5.0 G成绩不好，才1140+4.5 GPA3.6

Congratulations, you have been admitted to the University of Missouri -
Rolla, Missouri's technological research university.

Your official acceptance letter signed by the Director, Lynn Stichnote,
will be sent to the International Affairs Office (IAO) within a few
days.  IAO will then prepare your I-20 form.  When the I-20 form is
completed, IAO will send the acceptance letter packet and I-20 form to
you.

Please look at the acceptance letter packet carefully to see if you need

今早起床刷出来的，是new mexico大学的TA，希望申请该学校的人会有些用吧，高兴的同时，还不知道怎么回 复email了，现在还在等另外几个学校的消息，请问
1。这学校怎么样呢？跟cincinnati比哪个好些呢？cincinnati好象是免学费了
2。另外我有其他学校，vt，git，Umass， Notre dame，UT－Arlington，USB，ISU，UCF，那好要等下去吗？

呵呵，终于可以报偶的offer了。 28号收到的ad, 没有提钱的事情。发信去问，今天早上就刷出这个offer了 a tuition and fees waiver and a stipend of $20,000 per year. 还想问问大家这个数目在Chicago 够用了吗？
也谢谢长久以来gter 上那么多xdjm的帮助。虽然还没有定去不去，但在等其他学校的时候，心里也就有点底了。

You should receive the packets of information in the next couple of weeks.  In the packet from the Business School, you will also receive an offer for an International Fellowship award for your study in the MSIS program.  The award consists of 100 percent tuitition remission plus a stipend of $2,000 in each of the fall and spring semesters of your program.   

是个叫baylor的学校，商学院的MIS，信息管理，硕士.

baylor这学校怎么样？
我查了一下综合排名,大概60-70

在时隔连收四封据信和三个星期的沉静后，总算等来了一个AD，不过好像是系里录取了，还要等待研院的正式录取。并且明确说没钱，要我提供资金证明。还把我申的PhD改成了Master。一直没套过教授，大家看看现在还有没有可能套到钱啊？怎么套啊？还有，系里给了AD，研院不给的可能性大吗？我自认没有什么不符合条件的。

I have received a copy of the offer letter you were sent. It indicates the Physics department will pay a stipend of $9,900.00 for one academic year. The actual amount we need in order for your living expenses to be fully covered is $10,072.00 per academic year. That leaves a difference of $172.00. If you have another sponsor who can support you for one academic year for this amount, I need that sponsor to complete the attached affidavit according to the instructions. We also need a bank letter from your sponsor indicating there is at least $172.00 in your sponsor's account. After we receive those documents, and if they are acceptable, we will admit you and send your I-20 and other admission documents to you.

以上信中提到总共只需要10,072美元，就够全部生活费了。怎么会这么少？学费，住宿费和饭费加起来可能只有这么少吗？

但是在她的附件当中的sponser letter 中说到，要提供23,000美元的证明。如果加上系里的stipend, 则还需要14,000美元。Your sponsor must indicate that he/she will support you with at least $23,000 per year.

那么，开银行证明是开172还是开14000呢？

如果开的话，好像还要公证，公正费一般多少？             3.        The affidavit must be sworn to or affirmed in person by the sponsor before a notary public, attorney, U.S. consular officer or other official authorized to administer oaths, and this section must be confirmed by the official in the section of the affidavit entitled “Certification….”

实在睡不着觉，就ＳＲ了一圈小米，得知被ＵＳＣ 录取，（MASTER OF PLANNING)还是心情不错的，不过还不知道有没有奖学金什么的， 听说很贵的说。
