I partly agree with the speaker's opinion. It should not be doubted that how children are socialized have great influence to the destiny of society, but the destiny of society is not only decided by the children's socialization. Moreover, we have to admit that the parents, teachers and our society have gain much progress in training children, however, there are still many facets that need to be improved.

Admittedly, children socialization is one of the most important factors about the destiny of society. As is known to everyone, children will replace the older people to manage the society sooner or later, so the destiny of society is decided by the children generation. Socialization aims to train children how to communicate with others, how to adapt themselves to new environment, how to keep themselves always optimistic, and the like. All those abilities are all key points to shape children's characters, which is very pivotal to not only the future of children but also that of society. As an adage says that we can estimate one's future by observing him when he is a child, so we cannot image how the society will be if most of children do not have the abilities. For example, if a child cannot communicate with others, it is totally impossible that he still have difficult to cooperate with his colleagues, which is very serious for one's development because in current society it is hard to do anything completely depending on oneself. What is more, to adapt new environment quickly and to keep good feelings are all necessaries of current society, without which the individual cannot live better. If most of the children perform with few of the abilities, the society will be a "sick" situation and cannot develop better.

However, the destiny of society does not depend only on children socialization, and there are many other facets that can influence it, such as high intellect, healthy physique, and etc. High intellect can help us to resolve any problems we meet; healthy physique can make us energetic to develop the economics, politics, culture, and gymnasium. For example, several years ago, Chinese were laughed as "Ease-Asia's sick men" because during that period, Chinese never got a gold medal in Olympic games. But now, we have completely changed the foreigner's opinion: Chinese often rank the first in international matches and China will hold the Olympic games in 2008. From this, we can find that the destiny of China has changed greatly by the current generation who were children several years ago not because of socialization.

When referring to the raise of children, we admit that whether parents, teachers or society have made great improvement on how to raise children, but they still have many works need to be done. Firstly, they often more emphasize on children's intellect and relatively neglect other facets such as EQ and socialization mentioned above. Secondly, although they are very severe to children, they overlook the fact that they are the example of children. Consequently, many of children's flaws are from their parents or teachers. Thirdly, society still not provides enough opportunities for children's practice, so children socialization are yet not advanced efficiently.

To sum up, many equally important facets, not only how children are socialized, determine the destiny of society, and we should work harder to learn how to raise children well in order to bring about a better society.
