As long as ETS can report your official GRE scores to us, we will accept the computer-based test.  While ETS has reported a breach in security on the electronic version of the GRE, it would not be fair to assume that all scores are fraudulent.  We are aware of the expense involved in registering for these exams and do not wish you to incur another fee.

The Admissions Committee reviews all materials received with an application not just the GRE.  An admission decision is not based on GRE scores alone.

Because of the security breaches in the Educational Testing Services computer-based administration of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), GSIA will not accept computer-based GRE scores from applicants in these countries. If you are applying from China, Hong Kong, Korea or Taiwan and took the computer-based GRE previously, you must make arrangements to take one of the new paper-based administrations of the exam in order to be considered for admission to any of the GSIA Ph.D. programs that require the GRE.

My understanding is the Graduate School "strongly
suggests" students take the paper-based GRE.
I believe it will be enforced for 04-05.  If you
have already taken the GREs and have the scores,
and you will not have enough time to retake before
the application deadline of December 2, then you
should have ETS forward the official results and you
should write a cover letter stating what you wrote
in your email to me.

我是7月考的GRE,现在看到很多我想去的学校都不要机考成绩了,我都想哭.我准备改去英国了,我没那么多时间花在GRE重考上.
楼上有位同志说的对,我们应该联合起来给他们施加压力,不能让ETS鱼肉我们这么多广大中国学生.应该告诉他们在笔考前的成绩必须接受.
