Is education so important that parents and communities must be involved in schools? In my opinion, I strong agree with the speaker's claim that leave the educational task solely to the professional educators is obviously insufficient and parents and communities must take part in school education actively.

First of all, it is too irresponsible to put the whole educational task on the shoulder of a group of professional educators. Although they might be more experienced in educating children and have a better educational system than others do, they are not omnipotent. With too many children they are enable to pay attention to every child in their classrooms. Their attention is more easily to be attracted to those who are excellent or worst. The average children can relevantly share less focus. Under certain circumstance, the effect of education is allocated unbalanced. Under certain circumstance, the parents will have to play an important role in education.

A famous educator once has said:" Parents are the first teachers for a child." It clearly and precisely tells us the critical role of a parent in education. At first, the parents have to serve as models for child since their son or daughter might imitate the behavior of their parents without any doubt. But the key role of parents in education would remain much longer than we can imagine. After the child going to school, some parents might think the heavy task now is leaving to the teachers. However, normally there are fewer teachers than students in a school, so as I mentioned above, the parents must be involved in the school education. They should communicate frequently with teachers in order to have a clear image about the behavior of their children in school, and tell the teachers the recent thoughts and interests or even emotion of their children. Self-experience tells me that the communication between teachers and parents will enable both side know better about a child and take proper measures to educate him or her. During the procedure, the family education can also be combined with school education that both two might have better effect.

As we refer to the effect of the involvement of communities, I would like to say that the communities could provide our school children more opportunities to practice their knowledge and could better prepare our students for the society. For example, while telling students the importance of recycling, the communities can arrange a recycling day that provides the students not only a place to practice the knowledge on textbook, but also provide them opportunities to get involved in the society. Furthermore, the communities, if possible, could let school students visit the local recycling factory to give them a more specific picture about recycling and let them realize the crucial importance of recycling in protecting environment. The communities can make school curriculum more vivid and make students better understanding they learn.

To sum up, I fundamentally agree with the author's idea that it is inappropriate to leave the heavy educational task simply to educators. The involvement of parents and communities can both give more attention to children and enable them get a better idea of how the knowledge they learn gives help in solving concrete problems. Without the help for them, the result of school education is too hard to be satisfying.
