154 "Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators."
154.家长和社会都应该参与到当地的学校中来。教育太重要了,不能只靠专业教育者。
思路:
1. 老师在教育中的重要性
2. 家长和社会需要参与到教育中来,一方面配合学校工作提高教学质量,一方面监督学校为学生提供良好环境
3.家长和社会不能过分干预正常教学活动,只能处于辅助地位,否则将影响学生学习生活。

  We just have crossed the threshold of 21st century and the curtain of this new millennium is slowly rising. With the steady growth of global economy as well as people’s living standard, the rhythm of people’s life is speeding up and a great number of problems also are brought about at the same time. One of them is whether both parents and communities should participate in education or teaching activities besides professional educators. After pondering this for a long time, I basically agree the author’s suggestion that both parents and communities must be involved in the local school in order to improve the quality of teaching, but they should be careful to secure students’ studying environment at any time.

First of all, due to the importance of education, professional educators-teachers play a significant role in imparting knowledge and intelligence during an individual life. For example, one study examined the impact of a single first-grade teacher on her students’ subsequent adult status. The surprising result of this study have important implications, it is evident that good teachers can make a big difference in changing children’s lives, which gives urgency to the need to improve the quality of school teaching.

  Nevertheless, it would not adequate that only teachers take part in all activities of one’s education, parents and communities also are obliged to involve in education mission. On one hand, parents and communities can help school and teachers to supervise children both in and out of school. For instance, parents can receive messages, which record when their children enter into or leave school, by their cells through a special equipment which registers their children at school gate. On other hand, under the scrutiny of parents and society, school administration can be better to serve for improving the quality and efficiency of teaching.

Admittedly, parents and society would do favor of improving the quality of teaching and schools’ management, however, they risk disturbing normal teaching order and destroying students’ harmony learning atmosphere, when they are so imprudent to interfere with school life of students. The following example would aptly illustrate my vision. In order to show off their education level and quality in hardware, some governments force school to purchase expensive equipments for PE and experiments, and thereby results in quite negative impact on school’s policy and students’ learning activities in the long term. Hence, Parents and communities are supposed to stand the secondary place of education.

To sum up, I reach my conclusion in the end that both parents and communities should be involved in the process of students’ education besides a group of professional educators, because parents and society can help school administration to supervise and cultivate their children, and also assist students to oversee school’s management to realize improving the quality and environment of teaching. Yet, parents and communities should also abide by school’s normal teaching regulations and strategies rather than imprudently interrupting them.
