Reed-Sternberg cells (Lacunar Histiocytes for certain types) are distinctive giant cells found on light microscopy in biopsies from individuals with Hodgkin's lymphoma (aka Hodgkin's disease; a type of lymphoma), and certain other disorders. They are derived from B lymphocytes.

They are named after Dorothy Reed Mendenhall (1874-1964) and Carl Sternberg (1872-1935), who provided the first definitive microscopic descriptions of Hodgkin's disease (Reed, 1902; Sternberg, 1898).

Reed-Sternberg cells are large and are either multinucleated or have a bilobed nucleus (thus resembling an "owl's eye" appearance) with prominent eosinophilic inclusion-like nucleoli. Reed-Sternberg cells are CD30 and CD15 positive, usually negative for CD20 and CD45. The presence of these cells is not pathognomonic for the diagnosis of classical Hodgkin's lymphoma. They can also be found in reactive lymphadenopathy (such as infectious mononucleosis, carbamazepine associated lymphadenopathy) and rarely non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

Regardless of the etiology for restrictive lung diseases, many eventually lead to extensive fibrosis. The gross appearance, as seen here in a patient with organizing diffuse alveolar damage, is known as "honeycomb" lung because of the appearance of the irregular air spaces between bands of dense fibrous connective tissue.

Because I am thinking about drop my Biochemistry course.

Err, for the following reasons:

1 It covers only 1/5 of the whole textbook till now.Unbearable slow~~~
2 Though I have tried to “hold” them, but one of mypresentation partners was failed in last last exam. And the left one was failedin last quiz. So I am the lonely one left till now, but I am afraid I will bethe next one that dropped (Since the presentation actually take us 30% of the wholescores, and I can not handle my task as a “group work” as single with my other12 credits' "extra" courses and exams!).  
3 The teacher just teaches us the "chemical"parts, and jumps those "biomedical" parts. So those chapter of DNA\RNA\.... will all deleted, which is why I choice that class, which is veryimportant for my usmle.
4 I did well in my last biochemistry exam, which give me agood excuse that my quit is not based on my disability or poor study. Btw, Ireally like this point.
So, I decide not waste my time and life in for that hormonedysfunctional lady.
所以有想挨打的感觉～～～但是找室友运动了一会儿，已经OK了。

现在为后天上下午的２门考试奋斗！

Halloween, or Hallowe'en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. 不过还是DROP了，自虐有很多种方法。目前的生化上课和USMLE不紧密，老师化学背景，上课只上＂CHEMISTRY＂部分，＂BIO－MEDICAL＂部分全部跳过。DNA RNA 等对我很重要的她都SKIP。 所以我决定不用生化来折磨自己，我DROP以后会有更多的OPTIONS来选择～～哈！

我的课程虽多，但全部涵盖在STEP１里面。其实学习还好吧～～～主要是我的同学太变态了。一班印度人几乎个个都是USMLE进行中，STEP１ 一问都是９８／９９ STEP ２都是３个月就考９９，有的正在准备CK。

和他们上课，考试１小时时间，基本上选择题的话１５分钟我和阿三们一起交卷。出来大家笑笑。考试成绩下来我离满分差３分，那群阿三们一口同声的说：＂POOR～～～＂我一看T N N D那群变态全是满分。至于那些美国同学，他们的存在就是让我向下比安慰自己用的，说白了基本就来上课是被我们虐的。

早晨的病理考试我做的不错。
下午的病生考试我尽力了，但是一般。估计最后２３分。（满分２５）

晚上上课，一个fluw cell..一个美国人搞不明白统计图里面什么是DOUBLE POSITIVE什么是DOUBLE NEGATIVE,让老师连续讲了３遍。我直接听的快崩溃。真的不知道他们智商是不是BLOW ZERO 的～～

这个月我有９门大考，一个５０页的PAPER，还有２个CASE REPORT。如果不DROP Biochemistry还有５门考试和一个３０分钟的PRESENTATION......
