With the immediate advent of modernization all around the world, people's working and living pattern, especially those traditions, has to face such condition-- whether being forced to change or not. Therefore, in some aspects, there must be a great inevitable conflicts between tradition and modernization, which are just right in the corner.

There are a great amount of differences between them, especially in their purposes. While tradition has the density of maintaining every activity in a modified tracks, modernization is full of revolutionary ideas. The immediate spread of fast food is one of such examples during the modernization steps. In the 19th century, rather the majority of citizens were familiar with the easy daily living tradition-- working in the office or farm and having lunch at home, those exchangers in the Wall street, who were promoted by the stock property, has no lunch free time. Thus, the fast food production has come out and was soon developed as a great industry with the further modernization steps. In fact, it is millions of hamburgers and sandwigers that totally changed the tradition-- lunch at home. The original power is derived from nothing but the essence of modernization-- changing something.

Due to the totally variety on their purposes, it is easy to distinguish them by the ideas they represent respectively. Tradition came from the working and living experiences of our ancestors. The essential issue it holds is static: keeping everything in some patterns, and anything running out of it is forbidden. On contrast, the most paramount issue of modernization is revolution: every ordinary pattern is changeable, and all treasures with revolutionary potential would be encouraged. In another word, tradition represents the viewpoint and thought of our ancestors, while modernization represents the brand-new perspective and consideration of contemporary society. In such era with great knowledge and technology explosion, the conflicts between them are inevitable.

We have to make our own choices. Would anyone facing such great challenges and opportunity prefer tradition-- the pattern belonging to our ancestors? Of course not. The contemporaries have no better opportunities to create the greatness of their own, and therefore the choice of modernization is the better choice.

However, the preference on modernization does not mean completely drop the tradition. What we prefer is the advanced working and living pattern that benefit our life quality. Those tradition, especially the customs and cultures should be well protected.

In sum, with the great improvement of technological and social development nowadays, we prefer modernization to tradition so much that we could promote much better.
