In the primitive time, people divided work into physical one the brainwork which then diversified into different disciplines we perceive today, which gives them an inner closeness. Today, most significant steps made in any of these intrinsically interrelated disciplines might be attributed to the shared information between them.
Not a single object, let alone a field of study is totally independent from others in today’s world. Although we see, in the universities and colleges, they set up different schools with their discipline’s name carved into the door, they are all branches stemmed from the same tree, which can not develop well without any other, and which are fed on like one another by the main trunk. One who tries to study economics are required to have skills of mathematics which will be used to calculate the statistics, and knowledge of political science, which will serve as a guideline in his latter specific study, as well as some facts of anthropology, which serves to give him/her a sense of human being and society, the creator and consumer of economy. Any one who dares to allege the independence of a discipline will result in being defaced when he/she inevitably applies to the knowledge in other field.
This kind of link and correlation could bring a specific study the momentum to create and bloom in that outsiders can see the game while insiders are bogged down in it. When mechanicians were struggling to figure out a method to apply a devise onto the plane as to assure its safety in a night flight, they experienced the feeling of torture until one day they were reminded by biologists, of an unique character of bat, namely, echolocation, which the blind nocturnal animal used to locate the prey and avoid the danger. This observation indicates the invention of Radar, one of the most applied devise both in military and civilian usages.
Not only the creativity do the different fields bring about to one discipline, but some of these fields also serve as the very foundation of it. In the process of studying and researching, one subject will inevitably adopt the method, apparatus, experience or theories of others. Radar in the field of mechanism can again furnish a cogent example. After the invention of Radar, it was employed in endless studies, such as astronomy, oceanography and geography, without which we would not know tomorrow’s weather, discover the rare and valuable mines under water or prevent an unthinkable casualty from a foreseeable earthquake. Sometimes, many achievements and accomplishments made in one field are actually playing its full role when utilized by other fields to do the research work.
However, we could not ignore the great efforts made by all the scientists in their own work field, only through which can a feat really be made. If we compare the knowledge the outsiders provide to the action of lighting, the efforts they exert inside the field are the real engine which ultimately push them forward. Chen Jingrun, the Chinese outstanding mathematician calculated and studied for some ten years in his own room solving 1+2 in Goldbach Conjecture, a spectacular advancement in the realm of math.
In conclusion, most of the study significant successes are come out of team work combining various disciplines which could also contribute to all the fields in return. Thus a communication between various disciplines are recommended throughout the world in order to cope with all the problems human beings face with in a stronger manner.
