When asked about the creation of some most significant events and trends in the history, some people claim that those events and trends are is made by the very few individuals, such as heroes and leaders, while other people might claim that it is the numerous people whose names are forgotten by the history created the history. As far as I am concerned, I believe that both the very few individuals and the large groups of people have played an indispensable role in the formation of history. Nevertheless, when it comes to the study of history, focusing on the study of limited individuals is adequate for us to learn knowledge, lessons, and laws in many aspects.

To begin with, not only the few individuals, but also the countless common people created the development of influential events and directions in history. On the one hand, usually the few outstanding persons tend to promote the appearance of turning point of history due to their wit and courage beyond their contemporaries. Take the civil rights champion Martin Luther King for example, he belongs to one of the outstanding individuals in his temporary society. Although then many other people also hoped to acquire the civil rights, they lacked of the powerful belief and capability of implementation. Finally, Martin Luther King leaded those people to go on a march in Washington DC in1963 aiming to require the equal civil rights for the minorities. The fact tells us the irreplaceable role of some few individuals in the occurrence and progress of some critical events and trends in history. On the other hand, without the strength of the large groups of people, those vital events or trends might not even occur. For instance, merely with the action of Martin Luther King, the march for demanding civil rights would not exist any more. Therefore, there is no doubt that the importance of groups of people who were easily forgotten by the history should not be underestimated.

Moreover, when it comes to the study of history, it is more effective and significant for us to emphasize on the certain individuals. Firstly, the few individuals, such as heroes, possess the typical attributes of the contemporaries and powerful ability of promoting the evolvement of history. In other words, when we try to analyze the characteristics of the groups of people in an era who contributed to the development of certain historical events and directions, we could just learn about the few individuals who played special and critical role in historical events and trends, since the analysis of the certain persons will be representative enough. For instance, Abraham Lincoln, a celebrated American President, successfully led the Union through the Civil war and put the slavery to an end with Emancipation Proclamation in1963. The deeds and views of Abraham Lincoln represented that of the majority of people at that time, so the understanding of Abraham Lincoln will definitely help us understand the numerous people who created the events and directions of history.

In addition, it is hard for us to deeply analyze and study those countless people who have effect on the history one by one, since there are so many such people. Generally speaking, when we try to study them as a group, we tend to focus on the representative ones of them. Then the study of the few individuals can provide us the substantial relevant information. Admittedly, sometimes we also need to explore the stories of those numerous people who once acted actively in history and were forgotten, since this type of study might also bring us affluent benefits.

In summary, we can come to the conclusion that both the few well-known persons and the countless unknown people contributed to the progress of history, and what is more, we should particularly emphasize the significance of studying the certain individuals.

感觉第2段的论证有些单薄,最好在深入分析一下比较好,还有是第4段内容上和第3段有些重复
