At first, I donot know why all English book begins with a chapter on building people's vocabulary. Now I knew it. It begins this way because people's success in school will depend to a great extent on your knowledge of words. Words are tools you will use in reading, writing, speaking , and listening. They are the tools people will use in mastering other subjects---history, science, foreign languages, and so on.
If people take his study of the word's chapter seriously, he will indeed enlarge his vocabulary. but far more important, he will acquire the power to add constantly to his supply of words.
