About CoPEC
In our research and education programs we combine power electronics with analog and mixed-signal IC design, which give us a unique capability among university research groups.

Since it was founded in 1983, the power electronics group at the University of Colorado has maintained a tradition of innovative design-oriented and application-driven research. The group grew into the industry-sponsored Colorado Power Electronics Center (CoPEC) in 1999. CoPEC activities now span the range of power management applications from ultra-low-power energy scavenging devices, biosensors, high-efficiency converters for portable battery-operated systems, to tens, hundreds or thousands of watts for wireless, computer, aerospace, lighting, and medical applications, to hundreds of kilowatts for wind power generation systems. These activities are based on our experience in the technical areas of converter technologies, converter modeling and control, and magnetics, as well as in analog and mixed-signal IC design techniques.

Center activities include:

Graduate research projects jointly directed by center sponsors and center faculty
Internship program
Technology transfer

很意外的拿到了Power Electronics方向的offer，但以前并不是PE出身，对这个方向不太了解。offer来自VT的CPES，好像是挺强的实验室，已经接受了。各位专业人士可不可以简单介绍一下PE的一些研究方向和以后的出路，需要学习哪些基础课程，谢谢！

我本来是做微波与射频的，可以说完全是门外汉，CPES的老师很热情，所以我决定接受，但最好能提前多准备一下，请各位多多指教。
