【题目】
"There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."
1、首先必须颁布法律，、法律是有强制性的体系，法律的制定基于大多数人的价值，道德，信仰。如果没有法律，无政府状态就会最终导致社会的瓦解。
2、对于大多数的法律来说，都是将社会群体的价值观念，道德标准和信仰变质成典，一般来说是以正义和公平为基础的。只要法律平等的对待每一个人，公民都应该责无旁贷的遵守。正义的法律，作为文明社会不可或缺一部分，必须得到遵从。一方面可以用来维护社会次序，交通法规。另一方面通过约束他人来维护自己利益。为公民提供行为处事的准则
3、进而言之，同样重要的事，对于不公正的法律抵制以维护权益。法律是在公平公正的基础上产生的，但不意味着就没有缺陷。不公正和不合情理的法律会引起社会群体轻视法律。或许在法律制定的时候，政府官员没有考虑到法律会对社会中的不同人产生不同影响。
4、不同的文化，宗教信仰，价值观和利益，对法律是否公正的理解会有不同。


It is necessary for a democratic society to enact laws in order to provide the general population a guideline on the behavior which is expect of them. To ensure a society operates in an orderly manner, every individual in the society should obey the just laws, meanwhile, to insure the rights and benefit of the wide population, unjust laws should be resisted by whatever means.

To begin with, laws are used to govern society and control the behavior of every member. To be more civilized, a society must employ/enact the legal system to maintain social stability. The rule of law could enable general population known that how they are expected to behave and what right they might have under a governmental system. Without the laws, there will not be a document to determine what behavior will be published, meanwhile, members of the society would likely lose the restrain of liberty, which will result in anarchy and ultimately cause the destruction of the society.

Furthermore, most laws are codification of the values, beliefs and morals of the social. Therefore, the rule of law as a system is enforced and adjudicated based on the notion of justice and fair play. If the laws enforced equally on each individual, every members of the society must faithfully and dutifully comply with the laws. Compliance of the laws means to control the behavior of other people that would to some extent ensure our own rights. It is especially when it comes to the traffic law. The traffic law is to regulate the behavior of the drivers and the pedestrians. If everyone could comply with the traffic law, then accident would effectively be prevented, as well as an important guarantee of our life. In short, laws as a fundamental part of a democratic society must be faithfully obeyed by every members of the society.   

In addition, of equally importance, the disobedience and resist of unjust law should also attract the general population’s attention. The foundation of a legal system is that it is based on the notion of justice, but it doesn’t mean that inadequacy is not existed. A main function of laws is to balance the competing interest. At the enforcement and judgmental stage, the law should be equal to general population, not to the chosen few. It is entirely possible that the government official ignores the unjust of the law when it is written. It could be that the people who enacted the laws are unaware of the different interest and right among different individuals and segments of the society. Or perhaps, the law is unfairly written on the right and interest of few people, especially under a particular governmental society. For instance, some laws are in the service of the interest of emperor and royal family, and in some countries, the law discriminates in favor of the rich. Therefore, it is the duty of our public to resist and disobey the unjust laws and try to perfect the legal system through different documents.

What’s more, under some specific circumstance of situations, it is hard to determine whether a law is just or unjust, just because different people or groups might gave different interpretation of the laws due to diverse personal values, morals, cultural traditions and notions. Even consider a similar issue, different countries might enact different rules of laws. Take the death penalty for instance, some individual with particular beliefs claims that under no circumstance should one be allowed to take other one’s life, the death penalty is inhuman and unjust. While other people holds an opposite view that the criminals are published in portion to their crime, since they was accused of take other one’s life unjustly. Another example involves the regulations on China’s family planning policy, some people censure that the laws is violating human rights and unjust, while it’s advocates argue that the opponent do not understand or consider China’s real situation. Both sides’ view has their merits and supports and it is difficult to decide which side is wrong and relevant laws are unjust.   

In summary, the legal system is an essential guarantee of a democratic society, which plays a significant role in controlling individual’s behavior. To maintain stability of the society, every member should faithfully comply with the laws. Even more importantly, if the leader or government enacted any law that is unjust or unreasonable, it is our responsibility to fight for resisting or disobeying the unjust laws until it is repealed. What could not be neglected is that since different people have different beliefs, morals, cultural traditions, the differentiation between just and unjust laws is not so clear-cut. Laws serve for the society and people, the citizens must take proactive role to perfect the legal system and ensure the justice it gives.
