因材施教是理想化的教育模式
个性化教育在实施上有很大难度
实施不当便会有诸多弊端
综合教育仍旧必要
So,balance
Back in thousand years ago, Confucius (孔子) has come up with the theory that students should be taught in ways specially designed. This perspective has a profound impact all over the world. As the author claims in this topic, to be efficiently educated, students should receive individualized education.
Yes, offering specifically education to each student will be an idealized form. If it comes true, interests and fortes of them can be stimulated as much as possible. Interest is the best teacher and the suitable way is the best way --if we can manage it, why not?
But wait; is it realistic for its common use? Considering the current conditions -compared with the large number of students, the number of teachers have been always far from sufficient, so does the other resources for education---- it’s nearly impossible for us to generalize this type of education. Take an extreme example, most students, as the ones around us, especially boys, are interested in pc games, do nearly all teachers have to teach playing electronic games?
Secondly, even if we make the potential conditions at all costs or in some areas it is available, can the specialized education be as perfect as we have imagined? As we all know, no area of science and art exist in a vacuum, over- specialized education will narrow down student 's ken and acclimation to future career. hardly can we image that a man who knows little about maths can become a physicist, also hardly can we image that a man lacking of knowledge about meteorology can be an excellent geographer. Also as we all know, interests can change as time goes by. As no one can assure the current interests are eternal, it is necessary for us to receive comprehensive cultivation. Gifts may be buried if the individualized education is operated too early because that may not be the really field he really has talent in.
Einstein, the shining star in Physics, many inspiration of whom comes from music. If he didn't learn music-maybe boring for his childhood, sky of Modern physics may be dim and we will also lose a not so bad violinist .
Though specialized education is so welcomed and idealized, at least now, there are too many difficulties and the traditional comprehensive cultivation is still necessary. Since each of individualized and comprehensive education has its own advantages, finding a balance between them may be a better choice.
