Issue159 【Persistence 小组】第十一次作业,这篇感觉可说的比较多,反而乱了
Since more and more machines were created by human during the industry revolution, the contention which is more superior, human mind or machines, has never been terminated and even sharper in this era of rapid development of science and technology. Some assert that human mind is superior because any(all) machine is just a tool which is created by human, while others argue that machines are more powerful and can replace the role of human mind in many fields. It seems that this controversy will never(never不能做动词吧) to an end. For my perspective, human mind is superior to machines in creative work and initiative, which are more(和谁比较) important to push the development of the society, and(不应该用and,这里是转折语气) in some special cases, such as repeated work, machines can complete the job more precisely and quickly.
To begin with, without human mind, no machine would be created and utilized in our lives, and therefore no debate about superiority would come into being. Our modern societies are now dominated by human, not machines. Since the first tool was made out by human in ancient time, our human being began to create and invent more and more tools which were utilized in the process of exploiting and conquering the rude(形容世界用rude?) world. When we (intended)wanted to carry things more conveniently from one place to another, we created wheel(wheel不是machine,换一个可能更好); When we (tried)wanted to go (more fast--faster), we invented car; When we wanted to fulfill the dream of flying in the sky, plane came into being. Our lives have changed a lot by using machines, and it is human mind, not machines themselves, which stimulated these significant changes.
Secondly, machines can be modified and developed by the activities of human mind. The judgment of whether a kind of machines still meets the needs of human is determined on human mind, and we can modify these machines, even invent new one, according to the judgment.(这句话有点不通) Machines have no consciousness to develop themselves. Admittedly, with the development of the studies of biochips, the robots which are equipped with biochips and have this consciousness can probably be created, but it is indetermination that we can call these robots machines.
Furthermore, I have to mention that in some special cases, machines are more powerful than human mind. For example, computer, the most magic tool we have ever seen, sometimes is more powerful than human mind. In 1997, GarryKasparov, the most famous master of chess, lost in the challenge of 'Deeper Blue'--one of the most super-computers at that time. This great battle between human mind and machines has brought a considerable influence to not only the field of playing chess, but also the human being(例子很好,这边human being 可以展开下).
In final analysis, even though(even though ---although) in some special cases, machines can do better job than human, human mind is undoubtedly the basis of any machine. The creative thinking of human mind is infinite, thus the creating of updated and advanced machines is endless. We should probably not pay much attention to the answer of the controversy which is superior to the other, and the more meaningful thing for us is to keep our human mind more active and creative to use machines better(最后的主题句好!).
第一段可以再简洁点,二,三两段我觉得论证的不够充分,尤其是要强调人类的思想对机器的统治作用,最后两段很不错,个人很欣赏最后一句,用词不确定时最好查下,总体还是不错的,加油 |
