Could the laws just be classified into two types: just and unjust? And, do we have a responsibility to obey just laws and disobey unjust ones? The speaker claims so.
In my opinion, however, we could not classify the laws simply like this and it is wise to take proper procedure to improve unreasonable laws rather than resist them
blindly.
Firstly, whether a law is just or unjust depends on one's personal interests and value system.(不要太绝对呵,最好有限定:in most cases,...,to a great extent, depends on) It is likely that a group of people think a law is just to them but another
group do not think so.(呵呵,用think可能有点简单了,可以换点别的词汇:consider, hold the view that, contend等等) Take the drug problem for example, some countries, especially those who are heavily suffering from drugs, call for international laws and severe
punishment to the crimes, whereas a few countries will not like to do so because they benefit a lot from drug smuggle. Also the law will result in discrepancy when it
comes to the personal affairs. For instance, many people have prejudice for gayness but some regard it as their free choice. It is hard to establish laws to solve this problem indeed so that only some countries such as Canada have laws to protect the people of gayness. Thus, as the world does not only contain white and black, laws are not limited in just ones and unjust ones easily.(呵呵,这个比喻不错呵,稀罕中)
Secondly, once the laws are passed, they have the highest authority so that no one could be encouraged to resist them. Otherwise the whole world will fall into a chaos
sooner or later. For instance(重复出现了呵, Just image that), a man who killed another for revenging the death of his father would receive his penalty though it seems just for him to do so. If he receives no penalty for his action, it will urge more and more people to revenge blindly(重复出现了,recklessly). In this view, the law's authority should not be challenged rashly.(感觉论证不够充分。)
It is not permitted to violate the laws, however, it does not mean that we cannot do anything to correct the injustice and improve the laws. On the one hand, most countries, especially democracy societies, encourage the amendment and improvement for the laws according to situations and people's needs. On the other hand, people who think(重复出现呵) the laws are not just to them could appeal to the legislators to correct the inequity of the laws rather than break the unjust laws rashly. Let us return to people of gayness, they should make their effort to request the government to better the laws for their rights.
In sum, though we have rights to judge laws in our own opinion, no one should disobey them blindly(重复呵). And we should fight against unjust laws through legislation procedure rather than resist them as we wish.
总体来说,结构比较清晰。
但是感觉论证不够充分呵。
词汇以及句式的多样性还需加强呵。
一起努力吧,加油!~ |
