issue17
17"There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."

Law, as the body of official rules and regulation, is used to govern a society and to control the behavior of its member. Because of its major impact on social life, it is important to ensure that law is based on "justice" and is conformed by every member of the society.

To begin with, it is necessary to define the concept of "just law". Just law not only represents the interest of most members or advantaged groups in a society but also protects the right of the minority or disadvantaged groups. For example, in building a railway of which a session crosses farmlands, just law will support the build of the railway that will benefit most regions that it runs through, moreover, it should ensure that the owners of the farmlands would be compensated. And equally important, just law acts in accordance with what is morally upright in a society. Take Germany in the Second World War for example. The war law at that time in Germany is on behalf of interest of the whole country, however, it violates the human rights of other races and is morally notorious.

If a law is just as defined, then every member in a society has a responsibility to obey it. Since the just law contributes to the stability, development and prosperity of a society, the abeyance of it is important. For example, the just law concerning with the justice of education is not well carried out and obeyed, the society is then based on injustice considering the fact that education can promote the re-distribution of wealth and the re-flow of hierarchies.

However, it is a long journey to develop laws from unjust to just. No just law is constituted in one day and it interacts with the progress of society. Only can it develop when people with vision keep challenging the flaw of it and eventually revise it. For example, American allowed slavery at first, which was abolished after civil war. However, black people were still seriously discriminated until Martin Luther King stood up to fight for rights for them. In retrospect, the current anti-racism law is achieved through a long course full of hardship with thousands of people devote themselves to the anti-racism enterprise.

In sum, people should always keep pursuing justice in law and resist unjust law, realizing that the real justice can only achieved by persistent fighting.

Law, as the body of official rules and regulation, is used to govern a society and to control the behavior of its member. Because of its major impact on social life, it is important to ensure that law is based on "justice" and is conformed by every member of the society.

开头比较新颖,但是请注意:第一句的定义是不是可以表明出处,或者用个"as a distinguished expert on law in our university once said"来增强其可信度?

To begin with, it is necessary to define the concept of "just law". Just law not only represents the interest of most members or advantaged groups in a society but also protects the right of the minority or disadvantaged groups. 是不是可以把它上升到一定的高度,我看你这句话的意思是不是说equality of laws?)For example, in building a railway of which a session crosses farmlands, just law will support the build of the railway that will benefit most regions that it runs through, moreover, it should ensure that the owners of the farmlands would be compensated.

Since the just law contributes to the stability, development and prosperity of a society, the abeyance(GRE的一个词汇,意思是中止,搁置) of it is important.

In retrospect, the current anti-racism law is achieved through a long course full of hardship with thousands of people devote themselves to the anti-racism enterprise.(这两个例子非常典型,值得学习!)

In sum, people should always keep pursuing justice in law and resist unjust law, realizing that the real justice can only achieved by persistent fighting.

For example, in building a railway of which a session crosses farmlands, just law will support the build of the railway that will benefit most regions that it runs through, moreover(这里的连词逻辑关系不正确moreover是指此外,但是这里用but转折比较好), it should ensure (we must make sure that会比较好) that the owners of the farmlands would be compensated. And equally important, just law acts in accordance with what is morally upright in a society. Take Germany in the Second World War for example. The war law at that time in Germany is on behalf of interest of the whole country, however, it violates the human rights of other races and is morally notorious.

Since the just law contributes to the stability, development and prosperity of a society, the abeyance (obedience) of it is important. For example, the just law concerning with the justice of education is not well carried out and obeyed, the society is then based on injustice considering (动名词跟名词还是有区别的,并不一定都可以替换使用,consideration of) the fact that education can promote the re-distribution of wealth and the re-flow of hierarchies. However, it is a long journey to develop laws from unjust to just. No just law is constituted in one day and it interacts with the progress of society. Only can it develop when people with vision keep challenging the flaw of it and eventually revise it. For example, American allowed slavery at first, which was abolished after civil war.(最好说成:For example, slavery was first allowed by American, but abolished after civil war. ) However, black people were still seriously discriminated (not) until Martin Luther King stood up to fight for rights for them. In retrospect, the current anti-racism law is achieved through a long course full of hardship with thousands of people devote themselves to the anti-racism enterprise.
In sum, people should always keep pursuing justice in law and resist unjust law, realizing that the real justice can only achieved by persistent fighting.
