第一次限时,结果失败,花了一个小时才写完,而且感觉有点逻辑不通,我不知道!大家救命啊!!
狂拍一下吧!!

50"In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach."

Does the quality of instruction at the college and university level really determined by the faculties’ professional works outside the academic on which they spend time on? Before this conclusion being asserted, several considerations mentioned as following should be discussed.

For the very beginning, there is a common sense that all knowledge comes from the experience. Teachers will hold a better teaching if they join in some work outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach. As in the sociology, only if the teacher do join in the planning seminar whose purpose is to solve the problems of the society, can he/she gather the information about how the problem comes out and comprehend more deeply about the rules function in a society. That would give them vivid experience and examples when they teach these rules to their students.

Besides, in the field of natural science, the same reason is still available. Some may ask that does a teacher who teaches theoretical courses such as Relativity need to take part in a relevant work in a lab of particle-acceleration? That’s correct that even no accelerator exists when Einstein prompted his famous Relativity, but he did do a lot of imaginary experiments to obtain his theory. Darwin prompted his evolutionism after lots of observation and investigation in his travel with sailors. All their conclusions were strongly supported by their works they did. Obviously, experience of working outside the academic world in relevant professions could make the teaching of the faculty more convincing and powerful, and the comprehension of the students more deep and unforgettable.

But in addition, as we know, in the world changes at such a rapid rate, our exploration and understanding of the world is much deeper and extensive. As a result, the boundaries of different subject are faded. Knowledge of a certain subject is no more just restricted in a small scale, but extended to a larger scale and interact with knowledge of other fields. For instance, in the subject called Biophysics, scientists study the process of a biological phenomenon using a physical method, such as spectroscopy and other optical skills. That will acquire the scientists to have both biological and physical knowledge. Same examples also exist in many other fields which are contained in a university or a college. In this point of view, to improve the quality of instruction, working in professions that may not relevant to the courses the faculties teach is also in need.

In conclusion, the work outside the academic world taking by the faculty, which is relevant to the course they teach, is nessecary for the improvement of the quality of instruction at the college and university, but not enough. In my opinion, the knowledge of some other relevant subject is also need to be enhanced.
