Sorry, I can not input Chinese on this computer.
I got the RA from the professor and the tuition fees are waived. However, the officer said that I must provide the financial certification in order to issue my I-20. Is there any jms have the experience? I got the full support, do I also need to provide it just because I am F2 now? Aslo, I want to go back to China to apply my visa because I have no enough time to change my status in US. I was admitted by summer semester.

How much money of your assistantship?
If it is enough to support you, generally you need not provide the financial certification.

I have the same satuation with you. Now I have not receive my offer letter. How is you going? I have been accepted in summer. So I am thinking about if I have enough time to change my visa from Vermont Center, I will go Maxico or Canada to change my visa. What do you think? My Email is yuanli800815@hotmail.com.

I'm converting my status from F2 to F1 too. I will do the paper work this Friday(May 11). Hope I still have time. Anyway, I won't go back to China to convert it.
