My suggestion is that you may take EE as your major and get an on-route TN certificate, it is free in Poly, as long as you select your courses
properly.

我觉得Telecommunications应该包含在EE之中吧，我本科就是Telecommunications，申请的Poly和其他学校的EE，同样拿到offer了，please feel free to communicate further with me or chen-poly. But Chen may be so busy recently. :loveliness: aha

Yes. I received. According your qualifications as you introduced in your email, I will admit you. But I have to receive your application folder from the Graduate Admission Office and I have to check your documents. If everything is as you said, I will sign for your admission and recommend a proper amount of scholarship to Graduate Admission Office.

I am a student from XXX University of Technology. I am so glad to receive the admission from Polytechnic University with a GCS for $5,000 a year. However, adequate funding is still a great burden on me. I have already learnt poly's reputation for its research and job opportunities available to graduates. But the sad part is that I may never be able to afford that chance unless I get the access to some financial supports. You have mentioned that about 1/3 of students will get a campus job including RA/TA. All I am wondering is whether there is still any chance for me to get some RA/TA scholarship now. Your kind help will be highly appreciated.

It is possible only when you are here in Poly. You have to talk to professors and staff in person. I hope I can help you more. But it is beyond my ability.

Hi, beaking,
I graduated from poly about 10 years ago, and am working in downtown Manhattan from 8 years ago. A lot of people think NY is a city with high crime rate, I even have a friend who refused to step out of the airport to have a dinner with me when he transferred his plane in JFK a few years ago. But the fact is that, New York is the safest big city in USA. Nearly every working class here takes public transportation each day. Even in deep night, most of the buses and subway cars are pretty safe. As for the poly location, 15 years ago, the neighborhood was not so good, but from 1993, MetrotechCenter changes the landmark profile forever. Nowadays, poly neighborhood is more like an extension of downtown Manhattan across the river. Chase, Siac, Keyspan, Morgan Stanley, and many other big companies have branches there. A few 5-star hotels are also around to accommodate the business visitors. The subway stations around poly are among the busiest ones in NYC. Brooklyn as a whole may not have a good reputation, but Brooklyn also has a few of the best neighborhoods for living in NYC. A two-family house facing Manhattan which is 10-block away from poly worth $15 million now. Some part of South Brooklyn along the beach is one of the best living areas in USA. Surely, all of us will try hard to avoid living in the "Bad" part of the city, in this sense, those areas are more or less "remote" areas for us, even more remote than China.
