请问大虾：

对于正式场合、非正式场合、初次见面、朋友的熟人/家人/朋友 etc. etc.， i.e. 不同场合对不同对象，如何询问他人职业？

以下几种说法分别用在什么场合/对象？
What do you do?/What does s/he do?
What is your/his/her job?
What are you? / What is he/she? --总觉得这种用法怪怪的
What's your occupation? --这个是不是只用在填表格这类的场合？

what r ur job?
what r u do? a little formal
what r u up to? with friend, or somebody wanna chang the job
actually, my strategy is ask the man:does him do specific job, accordingly. then let him deny me, or agree with me

询问的方式的确有很多，可是在什么场合用什么方式比较合适呢？
