Two Ph.D./M.S. Assistantships In Plant Genomics And Bioinformatics

Starting in Spring/Fall 2008, two Ph.D./M.S. assistantships are available in Botany Department, Miami University to participate in the area of Plant Genomics and Bioinformatics.  The research work for the selected students will be an integral component of ConiferGDB (www.conifergdb.org). Possible research topics include data mining, database knowledge discovery, automatic information retrieval and text mining, genotology, software and database development and other bioinformatics applications addressing various biological questions.  Candidates must have strong computational background with decent knowledge in molecular biology.  Please contact with Dr. Chun Liang (liangc@muohio.edu).
