154"Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators."

1,        parents be involved in the local schools 的影响
2,        community 的影响
3,        educators 从这两个方面可以学到的得到,结合,然后更好的教育.比如父母也是某一方面的expert. Community对club的作用。

本文纯粹没话找话讲,为什么我写作文憋得慌,难受~  623


Education encompasses teaching and learning specific skills, and also something less tangible but profound: the imparting of knowledge, good judgment and wisdom. It plays a very important role in human society. Based on this circumstance, the above statement calls for an education mode with both parents and communities being involved. In my opinion, parental and community’s involvements are indispensable elements in the local schools. They together with the professional educators are supposed to contribute their merits to education interactively.

Parents are the child’s first and foremost teacher. Early and consistent parental involvement in the child’s life, for example by reading to children at an early age, teaching patterns, interpersonal communication skills, exposing them to diverse cultures and community around them, and educating them about a healthy lifestyle, is critical. Parent’ duty is more than being the baseball team coach or the lunch lady. Researches have overwhelmingly demonstrates that parent involvement in children’s learning is positively related to achievement. Further, researches show that the more intensively parents are involved in their children’s learning, the more beneficial are the achievement effects. This holds true for all types of parent involvement in children’s learning and for all types and ages of students. In fact, in the US parent involvement programs have been led in part by the No Child Left Behind legislation from the US Department of Education.

Communities also serve as an important part in education. During human growth and maturation, people encounter sets of other individuals and experiences. They thus develop individual and group identity through associations that connect them to life-long community experience. Community involvement in local schools can help students develop a healthy perspective on the world around and to learn how to fit in the society. As people grow, we need to learn about and form perceptions of social structure. During this progression, we then form personal and cultural values, a world view and attitudes toward the larger society. Under the involvement of communities, individual can develop interpersonal relationships better and begin to make choice about whom to associate with and under what circumstances.

Professional educators can in the other hand gain a broad outlook through the interaction with parents and communities. They can also exert their professional skills through guiding parents and communities in local schools. It’s a win-win situation. Everyone is the expert of some areas, including parent. They not only can be part of the education under the professional suggestion from educators, but also are able to contribute their distinct ideas and experiences into education field. Similarly, communities are important in the collaboration with educators too. Nowadays, we no longer only depend on the connection with specific communities outside school, but we have them inside. Various clubs in school today are like the miniatures of the diverse communities of location, culture and organization. These miniatures, no matter entered education area voluntarily or non-voluntarily, have been verified successful in the sense of developing leadership, responsibility and socialization of students. Some groups such as history interest group or IT group held in school with the guidance of teachers guarantee the students more knowledge channels in the same time stimulates their interests on particular subjects. These are the results of learning from communities.

In conclusion, because the inherent function of education that begins at birth and continues throughout life, reasonable people with different considerations will always debate about the behavior of professional educators and other factors such as parents and communities. We need to keep a levelheaded mind on addressing this problem. With understanding the importance of professional educators, we should nevertheless pay attentions to others facts. Parents and communities are indispensable in education. Pedagogue and these power from society should work together to elevate and enhance the level of education.

个人认为本命题的中心在于教育的重要性使得不仅专业人员,而且家长、社区都应该加入到教育的团队中,LZ后一半论述得很多,可忽略了强调教育的重要性,会不会判偏题? 大家一起讨论!

这篇文章偶写得很烂,惨不忍睹。
那个NCLB我确实是有看到parent involvment program, 在wikipedia里面不过不是under NCLB这个entry,所以现在一时半会儿也找不到了。
第二点社区的没例证,是因为我想不到例子。。。
第三点其实中心区是前三句,教育者可以从家长和社区中得到advantage,又可以guide它们。不过下面内容是在胡扯了。。。先说parents可以给教育者advise idea什么的,然后没得说了又说club group啊什么的其实是模仿community.凑字数~
楼上说得对,其实应该先写写教育的重要性,再说家长社区教育着:)
