       2,有些研究几年没有结果的实验,并不代表就没有意义.
       3,然而时间和金钱是有限的,我们的先处理好很多紧急的社会问题再来谈实验.


Should government spend money on all researches no matter what the results of them would be? I agree with the speaker insofar as research is the way to develop technology, yet in some cases overemphasis on expensive research would bring about risk to the society.


To begin with, the results of most researches which are unclear at the beginning contribute to marvelous achievements. Consider, for instance, the research of gene does not have any certain aim at the beginning, but when it carried on, human benefit a lot from it. If refuse to invest on researches with controversial results, the government would be bogged down into the Sargasso Sea of endless contention about which research would have definitive consequence. Therefore, it is impossible to determine whether to invest on a research regarding to its seemingly dim result.


Moreover, even if some researches depleting large amount of money and turn out to be fruitless after years of study, it does not indicate that these researches have nothing to do with the development of society. One apt illustration of this point involves research on cancer cells. Even microbiologist discovered the causes of many kinds of infections, but it was fifty or sixty years before cures were available. Consequently, there is a long way to go before cancer can be conquer, however , we still do not forbid this research.


Notwithstanding the foregoing reasons why it is necessary to invest most of the researches, the money and time is limited, so the government must be take into account that whether the research is worth or not ,if the country still have lots of urgent problems to deal with. Consider unemployment which is one of the most immediate social problems in many countries. It is all known that a high rate of unemployment would not only lead to a large poor population, but also cause even more serious consequence such as a rising rate of robbery economic crisis and even societal riot.


On balance, I agree with the speaker's assertion that investment on research is always beneficial, yet a balance between the immediate problems and research whose results are controversial are needed for government officials to make the right decisions.

刚刚看了2遍，觉得我改作文的感觉貌似没了，等下把使徒写的改作文指南琢磨下再来尝试改，不过你论证的论据不够充实导致结论显得草率，最好把提纲也一起帖出来啊
