The speaker asserts that significant advances in all fields of study need outsiders bring their expertise to that field of study. I agree with the speaker. Important breakthroughs in some field always require knowledge and technologies in other fields. Illustrating examples of this involve chemistry, economy and computer science.

First, consider the discovering elements in chemistry. Many significant discoveries, which have vital influence on the realm of chemistry, were ascribed to using of physical technologies and theories. Alkali metals were discovered because batteries were invented and used in chemistry experiments. The discovery of elements Rb. and Cs. was owed to the technique in realm of optics. The radioactive elements were detected under the guidance of the radioactivity theory. Yet, before these physical technologies and theories were used, these new elements could hardly be discovered by traditional approaches in chemistry.

Another example illustrating that significant breakthrough need knowledge from other field of study involves the realm of economy. John Nash, the renowned Mathematician and Nobel Prize winner in Economic Sciences, had introduced knowledge of game theory to economy, which helped him develop an equilibrium concept for non-cooperative games that later came to be called Nash equilibrium and win the Nobel Prize. Suppose that John Nash had not used his mathematic knowledge in economy, the new theory would not be developed and a significant advancement in economy would not exist. Besides John Nash, there are many Nobel Prize winners won their honor for introducing knowledge in some field to another field.

An even more striking example of how expertise in various fields is required to advance knowledge involves the area of computer science. In the realm of computer science, to solve problems rapidly we need increasingly keen tools-computers which can compute increasingly faster. These powerful computers are designed by mechanical, electronical and computer engineers and special materials which can be used to make faster CPU require the advancement in material science. Furthermore, complicated problems need to be described with mathematical model to facilitate computer to solve them. Mathematicians create those models for the problems and design effective arithmetic with the help of computer programmers. Even psychologists are needed to help design more comfortable human interfaces such as mouse with new shape and scientifically designed keyboards.

In sumsince the sciences are related and to advance our knowledge in any one field we must understand the interplay among them all and make full use of knowledge in other fields.

The speaker asserts thatsignificant advances in all fields of study need outsiders bring theirexpertise to that field of study. I agree with the speaker. Importantbreakthroughs in some field always require knowledge and technologiesin other fields. Illustrating examples of this involve chemistry, economy and computer science.
there are many illustrating examples involved in chemistry, economy and computer science.

First, consider thediscovering elements in chemistry. Many significant discoveries, whichhave vital influence on the realm of chemistry, were ascribed to usingof physical technologies and theories. Alkali metals were discoveredbecause batteries were invented and used in chemistry experiments. Thediscovery of elements Rb. and Cs. was owed to the technique in realm ofoptics. The radioactive elements were detected under the guidance ofthe radioactivity theory. Yet, before these physical technologies andtheories were used, these new elements could hardly be discovered bytraditional approaches in chemistry.

Another exampleillustrating that significant breakthrough need knowledge from otherfield of study involves the realm of economy. John Nash, the renownedMathematician and Nobel Prize winner in EconomicSciences, had introduced knowledge of game theory to economy, whichhelped him develop an equilibrium concept for non-cooperative gamesthat later came to be called Nash equilibrium and win the Nobel Prize.Suppose that John Nash had not used his mathematic knowledge ineconomy, the new theory would not be developed and a significantadvancement in economy would not exist. Besides John Nash, there aremany Nobel Prize winners won their honor for introducing knowledge insome field to another field.
比如this example strongly support the view blah blah blah.....

An even more strikingexample of how expertise in various fields is required to advanceknowledge involves the area of computer science. In the realm ofcomputer science, to solve problems rapidly we need increasingly keentools-computers which can compute increasingly faster. These powerfulcomputers are designed by mechanical, electronical and computerengineers and special materials which can be used to make faster CPUrequire the advancement in material science. Furthermore, complicatedproblems need to be described with mathematical model to facilitatecomputer to solve them. Mathematicians create those models for theproblems and design effective arithmetic with the help of computerprogrammers. Even psychologists are needed to help design morecomfortable human interfaces such as mouse with new shape andscientifically designed keyboards.
complicatedproblems need to be described with mathematical model to facilitatecomputer to solve them 这句话有点别扭。

In sumsincethe sciences are related and to advance our knowledge in any one fieldwe must understand the interplay among them all and make full use ofknowledge in other fields.

Another example illustrating that significant breakthrough need knowledge from other field of study involves the realm of economy. John Nash, the renowned Mathematician and Nobel Prize winner in Economic Science, had introduced knowledge of game theory to economy, which helped him develop an equilibrium concept for non-cooperative games that later came to be called Nash equilibrium and win the Nobel Prize. In sumsince the sciences are related and to advance our knowledge in any one field we must understand the interplay among them all and make full use of knowledge in other fields
