My Trip Experience and Advice to America

I have just settled down and hope to share with you some information about my trip to America. Apologies for not being able to make a Chinese edition at the current moment. The reason is that the computer in the libary do not have a Chinese software.

My Flight; AA 288   AA 4214

Pu Dong Airport
1) Please arrive at least three hours before the departure time.  There are many things to do in the airport.
    The AA 288 I took was delayed before departure for an hour. The AA counter thus help some people to reschedule their second flight at the check in service.

2) The check in counter will need your passport, visa, air ticket and your I 20. Then they will issue you the boarding pass. (If you take the same airline in the US, you do not need to process other materials in the US. You can get the boarding pass for the second flight in China.)

On the flight

1) The AA 288 is carried by Boeing 777.  The trip has taken me almost 14 hours to arrive in Chicago. It may be uncomfortable for first flight attendents.  The food on the plane are always hard to eat, which make me tired of eating any American food even in the US. But in my recent stay, I have no other choices, casue this is the most inexpensive. You will not expect to enjoy the Cihinese cuisine as often as you are at home. So please do enjoy and cherish you last stay at home.

2) There is nothing to do on the airplane but to sleep or watch TV.


Chicago Airport
1) Just follow the people to do the following things
   a.  Go to the Border Service to complete the entry issue. (You will need your I 94, US Custom Form, Passport and Visa, I 20)
   b. Get the luggage and you had better get a vechicle to help you. (free of charge)

2) For AA flight takers. You should not carry your luggages too far. When you walk out of the terminal 5. You will find the AA counter. They will help you upload your luggage to your next flight.

3) Take the light train on the second floor. Get off at the Terminal 3. Then walk to the building with other people. Please find your flight information on the monitor first, then go to the corresponding counter.

4) You may be asked to remove your shoes and laptop while you are eaxmined. AA 4214 is carried by American Eagle. (Remember to find the information on the monitor, or ask the staff directly)  AA 4214 is really a small plane. It also was delayed for an hour and half to take off.


Indy Airport
1) Indy is not as big and crowded as O' hare. But you would find many restaurants on the second flight. Especiallly for people who will spend the night at Indy, it is really not that terrible. Many people will stay there.

2) The best way to call back home is the telephone which you find around the airport. 1 dollar for 8 minutes. Do not use the internet service which is expensive which cost me 7.7 dollars for several minutes.

3) You can find a luggage vehicle at the luggege service place on the first floor. It needs 2 dollars to use.

4) If you want to take the bus or limou or taxi, go across the street after you walking out of the airport building. You will find "transportation center." Stay there until the driver comes to pick you up.

Totallly, it is really interesting and challenging for people who like travelling, especially for DIY travellers such as me.

Enjoy your trip! And do remeber to ask the staffs when you are in need. That is the best idea to solve any problem. Just to ask them!

2.感觉AA很会迟到的:vomit: ，都是1到2个小时迟起飞.国航的还好，最多迟几分钟.美国其它的不知会不会比AA好.

3.AA288这趟N多人会坐.有人提出说在CHCIAGO自己再买下一班的飞机省钱而且不会出现在机场等4-5个小时郁闷的经历.不知道正确不正确？:confused:

In my case, I can only say in my case.  The boarding pass for the first and second flight are printed in the Pudong Airport when we checked in.

大多数都不会怎么迟到的.
楼上那位不知道坐过没有...我自己加接过不少同学.真正延误都是入关的时候.
还有,如果不是联程机票,到时候行李没法托运.
除非都带的是不超过23KG的箱子.
