I agree with the assertion that technologies influence our customs and ethics, sometimes it can play a inevitable role on determine the ethic level and change customs. However, technology is not the primary factors influence on displace of customs and ethic, that is, the progress of society.

There are several facts that technology can influence on displace of customs. Technology change the living habit of people, such as surfer on the Internet instead of read books, listen music from walkman or electronic produce instead of go to cinema. We can buy things without the need step into supermarket just order on website or by call. With increased rapid change in social life, the custom also displaced. Such as in several Chinese traditional festival days, in the past people usually cook some delicious food such as tangyuan, zongzi in special days. But in recent years, there is no need to cook these foods, we just need go in supermarket, then you can buy these foods anytime not limit by several festival days. This illustrates technology change the custom.

There are also can contribute to the ethics changes, but essential affective factor is the person's changes in opinion. As in ancient china, women have no chance for education; there is an old Chinese saying:" women without wisdom are excellent." But in modern social, women have the equal right to compete with man, not only have education rights also have suffrage rights, play a more essential role in Chinese history. Such as WuYin, who do a excellent job in the diplomacy with other countries.

The determine reason of social customs and ethic is the progress of society, which influenced by technologies. The essential reason for this change is that the life changed with the development of social and technology. People become increasing busy and heavy pressure for requirement of effective and efficient. That is technology help people to meet requirement. What’s more, with progress of society, we need more cooperation and globalization, which also influence the customs and ethics for other culture. Such as we claim more individual and creation, which come form the western civilization.

In sum, from discuss above, consider the really factor influence on the customs and ethics. Technology is the inter-cause contributes to the social customs and ethics change, but person's ideology progress of society is the virtual reason.
